Charming historic 1860's farmhouse with stunning views of the Hudson Valley. Perched on a mountain side, with 45 acres of wooded forest featuring an expansive lawn, fruit trees, goats, and field stone walls. Sit by an outdoor fire or watch the sun, set or rise over the spectacular Hudson Valley. Relax in a small farm setting and visit with our friendly and curious goats, chickens and ducks at the gate. This is our primary home, and because of that we only rent it out a few times a year. We live on property across the yard from the house in our renovated barn, and care for the animals twice daily. We feel so lucky to be able to share our home with you, as every rental helps us fix up this historic home and property. We hope you feel the warmth and love of this home as much as we do. You may visit the goats at their gate at anytime over the course of your stay. Please ask if you would like to feed them treats. Please DO NOT go into the goat pen, or the chicken coop, we can set up an animal meet and greet if timing allows! We live on property, in our barn across the yard, and feed goats, chickens and ducks twice daily. But completely respect the privacy of our guest and are only around if or when needed. If we are out of town during your visit, we have a caretaker who comes to care for our animals and other property needs. We have a wonderfully sweet pup (as seen in some of our pictures) who is always on leash when guest are present. We will be available in person as needed by our guests, or are always a text or phone call away. You may see us at the barn, garage, or across the yard. We’re always happy to help with places to hike in the area or can point you in the direction of a great brewery or restaurant.
