Cottage in Oakland

This charming updated cottage is located between Piedmont Avenue and Temescal districts two of Oakland's most convenient and vibrant neighborhoods. The cottage is within walking distance of shopping, parks, restaurants & transportation BART (Subway) MacArthur Station is only 4 blocks away. Take BART straight from Oakland or San Francisco airport. Off-street parking for 3 cars or RV. Fantastic office space. This is a great place to call home when visiting the Oakland/San Francisco Bay Area. The space This Airbnb cottage is located behind our duplex and above the lower rental unit of the cottage. No children under 9 years old allowed due to the many stairs. Please don't attempt to book. It has its own private entrance with level parking for 3 cars or a small RV. Guests must be able to navigate the 12 stairs to reach the front door. It has a full kitchen, living room, laundry, and bathroom with tub. Each bedroom has a queen-size bed. There is a lovely private veranda for relaxing as well as a front porch. Oakland has been named many times as having the best weather in America and having the best views of San Francisco. The home is conveniently located close to just about everything in Oakland. The San Francisco/Oakland bay bridge is only 4 miles away. The cottage is located in Oakland's very vibrant Temescal district, You can easily walk to coffee shops, restaurants, banks, and a park with public tennis courts. "Temescal is one of Oakland’s best-known food destinations, and there are so many cafés, bars, and restaurants there that even those who live in the neighborhood can have a hard time keeping up with all the spots to eat and drink." This rental has WiFi and two Samsung smart TVs. An Amazon Echo "Alexa" is provided for music, alarm, and information. There is no "Cable" TV however you can watch the local "over air" TV channels in high definition which include PBS, CBS, NBC, ABC, FOX. You can also stream the contents of Netflix using our account on the smart TV. We have Xfinity Performance Pro+ WiFi at this property. It works great for streaming Netflix® and internet service. Many guests have found it also works great for Zoom calls. Currently, the SF Bay area internet system is under heavy load and you may find the ability to Zoom insufficient. If "Zooming" or needing video conferencing 24-7 is very important to you...you may be disappointed. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, cookware, dishes, basic spices, toaster, and Krups drip coffee maker and beans grinder. There are a full-sized washer and dryer for your use located inside the cottage. There are also other restaurants, Beer pubs, coffee, and taco shop located less than two blocks away...and literally hundreds within two miles on Piedmont and Telegraph Ave. It is also less than a block away from Oakland's very popular restaurant "Homeroom" . Also, two of Oakland's best breakfast places Mama's Royal Cafe and Brenda's are an easy walk. Oakland's fantastic 2-star Michelin restaurant "Commis" is less than a mile away. Berkeley's World famous Chez Panisse restaurant is 4 miles away. UC Berkeley and the Fox Oakland for world-class music and events is a short 3 miles away. San Francisco is only 10 miles away or 18 min. ride on BART. Guest access Upper unit of rear Cottage duplex, entire side driveway, yard in front cottage, Cottage veranda. Other things to note Cottage includes WiFi, 2 smart TV's, kitchen, Full office,washer dryer and free level off street parking for three cars or RV. Please keep food and drink out of the bedrooms. The rental is located above another rental unit so please respect the quiet times after 11:00PM. Absolutely no smoking or vaping of anything inside the cottage. Please do not move any furniture except small chairs. And please do not drag anything across the hardwood floors that could damage them. Thanks!
