Located at the confluence of the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers, Harpers Ferry is one the most historic and scenic communities in America; 5 min. walk to HF Nat. The space The spacious Victorian house (built in 1890) was named "Point of View" because of its commanding view of the Potomac River. Though the view has since been diminished by houses built later along the ridge, Point of View remains one of the iconic houses of the village. The house, featured on the cover of This Old House Magazine, is located on a quiet street that leads to an overlook of the spectacular confluence of the rivers. The Old Town is an 8 minute walk down the hill and the Appalachian Trail is 5 minutes away. The house is traditionally but comfortably furnished. The ample, well-equipped kitchen is bright and inviting with a breakfast table and adjoining formal dining room. Comfortable beds in the 4 bedrooms: 1 king, 2 queen, and 1 full. The attic suite has its own bathroom and the 3 second floor bedrooms share a bath. The main floor has a powder room with shower. In addition to the large front porch and patio in the rear, the second floor has a very pleasant screened sitting porch.
