Simpers Retreat House

An old Victorian house, a part of the underground railroad, located on a 500 acre working farm with cattle, sheep and orchards in Crooked Run Valley, a historic district in Northern Fauquier county. Surrounded by Virginia Wineries and near Sky Meadows State Park. Fantastic views of the Virginia landscape. Right next door to Valley View Farm where you can pick your own peaches, apples, cherries, and more! Located about 1 hour and 15 minutes from DC. The space You may bring your own sheets or for a fee you can rent ours. We will put them out on the beds for you. We give you this option since we are a retreat house. Also you must furnish your own toliet paper and paper towels. Farm is available for weddings and company picnics. Sorry no pets. Week-ends can be rented for two nights. Holidays and week rentals are two days or more. Davenport films made the movie Ashpet on the farm. Come see it when you spend the night with us. Guest access They may use the entire house, picnic in the yard-fire pit available, and walk the grounds where the animals are not located.
