Owner lives in private residence (at the upper level back of the building) and invites CHAR's GUESTHOUSE guests (at the ground level back of the building) to make themselves at home and enjoy the arts & outdoor sports cultural scene. Guest access The guest will be given their own personal keypad code to unlock the doors. Guests may arrange to drop off their bags early in the common areas. Other things to note Char's Landing is a former church, first service August 4th, 1912. Owner/Operator/Resident Charlene Patterson retired from 12 years working on the Cruise Ships and moved to Port Alberni to realize the vision of a safe haven for cultural travelers.
