Spencer House Bed & Breakfast - Nanny's Room

Located around the corner from the nursery, Nanny’s Room offers a private and cozy retreat in the back of the house. The room features a queen bed and an original marble fireplace (no longer in use), adding a touch of Victorian charm. The room is accessed by a private hallway lined with exposed original brickwork. The private bathroom, located just off the hall, includes a clawfoot tub with shower, combining historic character with modern comfort. This historic Bed and Breakfast features classic architectural details throughout, including soaring ceilings, sculpted light medallions, and intricately handcrafted hardwood moldings. Guests enjoy a hot, home-cooked breakfast served each morning in the elegant dining room with a coffered oak ceiling. Spencer House is located on historic Millionaires Row at 519 West 6th Street, within walking distance of downtown Erie, Gannon University, Erie Insurance Arena, excellent restaurants, and the Warner Theatre. Presque Isle State Park and the Erie Bayfront are a short drive or bike ride away. Guest access In addition to the individual rooms guests also have access to the following • Dining Room • Parlor • Library • 2nd floor solarium which has a small refrigerator and a water cooler w/ instant hot water for coffee, tea or hot chocolate. • 3rd floor sitting area • Large front porch with seating in Spring - Fall NOTE: Due to regulations and insurance requirements guests are not allowed to use the kitchen facilities. During your stay Upon arrival guests will be welcomed by Innkeepers Steve and Lisa who will provide a brief tour and explain the history of the home if you would like. The innkeepers prepare and serve Hot Breakfast each morning and are available to answer questions and provide recommendations for local restaurants and attractions. The Innkeepers live in a private section of the home. Other things to note *All rooms are on the 2nd or 3rd floor and there are no elevators We are unable to accommodate children under 10 years of age. ***Please be sure to notify us of any allergies or Dietary restrictions at least 1 day before you arrive so that we can plan breakfast accordingly
