Extremely private but also conveniently located to the village of Millerton, Sharon CT and Wassic train station in less than 10 mins. There are several wonderful farm stands in the area. Walking paths outside the door, many fun towns to explore in all directions or curl up with a great book on the screened in porch and never leave. Three renovated bedrooms, with ensuite bathrooms. 1 dog welcome! Not ideal for small children. The house is set on 7 private acres up a long winding driveway off of route 22, just down the road from McEnroe's farm stand. The setting is the perfect oasis to unwind. Whether you sit by one of the many fireplaces with a good book or stare out the window at the ever changing beauty. There is a soaking tub in the downstairs bathroom with large windows that allow you to enjoy the garden outside. Our labradoodle spends his days running from one end of the field to the other without a road in sight. This property is a warm inviting home with many creature comforts to make your stay as pleasurable as possible. It's an open floor plan with concrete radiant floors on the downstairs level and baseboard heat upstairs. The entire home and land is yours to access and enjoy. I'm always available by phone or text if you need recommendations or suggestions in the area or an issue has come up in the house. Our home is the best of both worlds. A private oasis with close access to all conveniences you need 5-10mins away. Both McEnroe's and Silamar farm stores are less than 2 miles away. McEnroe has the wonderful Cider Shack that is open late for dining and music with a great casual vibe. The village of Millerton is 8 minutes down the road with the Movie House, Harney & Son tea house and The Oakhurst diner. The opposite direction is Wassic train station and The Lantern for great pizza less that 10 mins away. If you venture across the border to Sharon CT, you have Sharon Farm market, Paley's farm stand and Le Gamin restaurant. The rail-trail has an entrance a mile away at Coleman Station. We have several bikes to access. Any town you want to visit is 30-40 mins away. There is so many places to explore. I have a great list of destinations and every go to spot. Kingston Rhinebeck Kent Great Barrington Salisbury Hudson to name a few.... We do not have a generator. I can honestly say we have only lost power once in the last year for a day. We have plenty of lanterns;-) We border Buddha-field. There is a private path behind our house to their property next door. It's a wonderful place to amble and soak in nature.
