Built in 1888, ‘The Royer House’ is named in honor of the late Joseph R. Royer, confectioner extraordinaire who owned the Ice Cream Garden at 50 W. King St., and was influential to a young entrepreneur named Milton S. Hershey in helping him hone his skills in the art of candy making. This American classic home is situated in the heart of downtown Lancaster and is a short walk to the Lancaster Convention Center, The Fulton Theater and the city's best breweries, dining, shops, and galleries! The space The ‘Royer House’ was recently restored with tasteful touches across an open and bright layout. The home hints to a past when things were simpler while highlighting the creature comforts one demands of today's modern spaces. Recessed lighting, hardwood floors, and high quality linens ensure a good night's rest, while Smart TV's and high speed internet provide travelers the peace of mind of staying connected. The home is filled with light throughout and offers enough space for a family of eight to enjoy comfortably, The space is professionally cleaned and cared for, and we work to ensure your experience in staying with us is the absolute very best. Guest access The Royer House is easily accessed by the right front door. All areas of the home are secure. The entrance and home is private and the laundry room and rear outdoor space is shared with other on-premise apartments. Other things to note *** THE BASICS *** a. FIRE EXTINGUISHER - located on the main level below kitchen sink b. EMERGENCIES - Dial 911, then contact Airbnb c. ELECTRONIC KEYED ENTRY - located on the front door (see Airbnb check-in link) d. INTERNET/WIFI - located downstairs next to TV - Access to Netflix, Amazon, Xfinity through the app e. CABLE - High-speed internet connection only f. RECYCLING - Yellow lid container located in the rear yard of home. g. TRASH - Place any bagged trash to be thrown away in the receptacles. If trash can is full, place trash next to receptacles h. HEAT/AC - Radiator heating is pre-set, but there is a separate Ecobee thermostat used in summer months for air conditioning located in the living room behind the tv. i. QUIET HOURS - The row home has shared walls with our neighbors and other apartment homes on the premise. Please be mindful of quiet hours between 8:00 PM and 8:00AM. j. ADDITIONAL GUESTS - The home can accommodate up to eight guests. For accurate pricing, ensure the number guests staying in the home are represented in your reservation. k. SHARED AREAS - Patio and laundry areas may be shared with other guests l. PARKING - Visitor parking permits are available in front of the home on Duke St. for $2 per day. Please register your vehicle online prior to your arrival at via the Lancaster Parking Authority website. Once registered, you can park at any metered parking space on Duke St for the days purchased. Secure covered parking is also available one block away in the Queen Street Parking Garage located at 424 N. Queen St. The cost is $15 for every 24 hour period. *** OF COURTESY *** a. Please tidy up the home so our next guests can enjoy the space b. Notify us of any needed repairs or damages at check-out c. Place dirty dishes in the dishwasher and run prior to leaving d. Place soiled laundry in the baskets by washing machine area e. Remove outdoor shoes on the upper level entryway. f. Check-out time is at 10:00AM and housekeeping is scheduled at 10:15 AM Please notify us via text once leaving. *** OF IMPORTANCE *** Any of the following violations are subject to the full forfeiture of a renter(s) security deposit a. No smoking (or vaping) inside of home b. No pets are allowed on premise. Documented service animals are permitted. c. No parties.
