***** PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU BOOK***** The good: this room is the well equipped for family. Your kid is going to love it. The bad: SOUND! You will hear water and foot steps sounds from other guests upstairs. This is a basement room with 4 small Windows. We discounted this room for the above reason. Keep in mind the price is for a bedroom with kitchen and dining in central downtown location. Please ONLY BOOK if you are OK with the above description and agree not to leave a bad review! The space The building located on 1140 Franklin Ave is a lovely home built in 1900 by ship builder Ferdinand Fisher and was established as a bed and breakfast in May of 1986. Astoria is such a historic town and every building has incredible architecture, history and a story. Every restoration seems to respect the era of the original structure and this reflects the beliefs of the town and its people and their commitment to Astoria’s history. I am in love with this town and hope you do too. The guesthouse has 6 rooms and each of them has an attached bathroom. Guests will enjoy the uniqueness of each room and share its warm and cozy sun-lit living room with other guests. This room is located on the lower floor. You can sit back and relax listening to radio or watch a DVD. The room includes a kitchen you can do limited cooking, dinning area and kids room. This room size is about 390 sq ft. It has: - Kitchen: > small cooking range (note that there is no oven) > coffee machine > microwave > mini fridge > dishware and silverware > pot and pans > coffee and tea - Dining area: table with 4 chairs - Adult room: > one queen size bed > flat screen TV - adjoin kid room: > slide bed (loft twin bed) >train bed (twin) - private bathroom > antique vanity > shower Common area includes: - Dining room - Living sitting area with fireplace - Iron - DVDs for guest to enjoy - Board games - Books While there is no breakfast serve in the boutique hotel, feel free to ask for recommendation. The brightly lit common dining area allows you to hang out with friends and family, meet new friends, and share your traveling experiences. Bring in take-out to enjoy your meal here or play board games together and create wonderful memories in beautiful Astoria. Other things to note ***PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU BOOK*** Note that we are in process of remodeling. There may be painter out side of the house. For this reason, we discount our room rate for the inconvenience. Sorry for the inconvenience. On the street parking is available along the house.
