Catskill Cabin in the Woods
Catskill Cabin in the Woods
Description
Our little Cabin in the Woods is a cozy place to unwind, build a fire, and enjoy the nature that surrounds you. Wake up in the morning to deer and wild turkeys roaming in the forest outside, and enjoy your coffee in the sunroom, on the back deck or on a walk to nearby Cooper Lake. Downtown Woodstock is an 8 min drive, while other local favorites The Pines and Phoenicia Diner are within 15 minutes. Close by hiking trails abound as well, with the famous Overlook Mountain under 5 miles away. The space Our (tiny but mighty) 633 square foot cabin was built in 1955 and has been updated substantially since, though it still maintains all of its original charm. The main living area consists of a small living room with a wood-burning stove (and bonus skylights), TV with cable and additional streaming services, dining area, and kitchen. All wood countertops and cabinets in the kitchen are original, as are the dining table, chairs and church pew. The small bedroom contains a queen-size bed and closet with dresser and hangers, and the bathroom a small stand-up shower. The third room can function as an office, additional bedroom, special hang-out space or all of the above. The outdoor area of the cabin is our favorite and is perfect for lounging on the deck, grilling, or our other favorite combo of campfire + s’mores. Our rustic cabin is full of love and character. Note: our nightly rate may be just slightly higher than similar properties in the area. We also live here part time, appreciate the finer things, and like to share them with our guests! For example: •Special treats on arrival •Parachute & Citizenry linens and towels •Aesop bath products and soaps •Delicious, high end coffee We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
