An exterior porch attached to the kitchen was converted to a space to accommodate a washer and dryer for added guest convenience. There's room for 2-3 cars in the driveway in front of the house, and additional free parking in the church lot across the street. There is Uber service in town and the house is walking distance from downtown. Indiana National Dunes Beach is 3 short miles away by car or bike. The listing includes a beach pass for one car for a trip to the Dunes; a popular tourist attraction frequented by locals and travelers. One of the oldest neighborhoods in downtown Chesterton. A very quite yet friendly street in walking distance of many nice restaurant's, shopping and more. Close to 2 parks with 1 at the middle school just a few blocks west of the rental with large playground and splashpad. The other near coffee creek just Northeast of the rental. The best way to get around in downtown chesterton is by walking or riding a bike. The town allows golf carts on the roads in the town limits which is becoming very popular. There is of course Uber and Lyft options available as well. Guests have free parking at the dwelling and on side streets. Indiana Dunes National Park is just 3 short miles away and hugs 15 miles of the southern shore of Lake Michigan and has much to offer. Whether you enjoy scouting for rare species of birds or flying kites on the sandy beach, the national park's 15,000 acres will continually enchant you. Hikers will enjoy 50 miles of trails over rugged dunes, mysterious wetlands, sunny prairies, meandering rivers and peaceful forests.
