Welcome to Wheelhouse, a classic New Mexican adobe, located on an acre, walking distance to the charming village of Arroyo Seco! We are nestled approximately 15 minutes to both Taos Ski Valley and Taos plaza. In the winter, you’ll enjoy taking in the unobstructed mountain views from the master bedroom and tending to the fire in the living room kiva. In the summer, take in the quiet solitude of the back garden, perfect for summer lounging in the hammocks. Short drive to hikes and hot springs! While a maximum of four guests is desirable, there are several bedding options. The master includes a king size bed, the second bedroom has bunk beds, and the den has a sleeper couch that can be used as a single or double. Please note the bathroom is ideal for soaking in the tub. In true adobe fashion, the bathroom ceiling slants. Those above 5' 7" will have to bend at the knee a bit to fit while showering. Take advantage of the property! Stroll around the gardens, enjoy the cherries from the vineyard, or just chill in one of the hammocks. You'll have the property to yourselves. A local host will be available, should you have any questions or require any services. You'll be walking distance to Arroyo Seco, a charming artisan village with decadent eats like Aceq and Taos Cow in addition to Parse Seco Gallery, an experimental creative space. Stop in Sol Food Market to stock up and be sure to visit the many talented artists and ceramicists who studio out of Arroyo Seco. While you will want a car to get around Taos, you are a 5 minute walk to the village of Arroyo Seco. A shuttle to Taos mountain leaves with regularity from the village. We do have a smart TV located in the den. Feel free to login to your Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, or your personal cable accounts to access. The shelving next to the fridge is ideal for keeping food up high and out of reach of little country critters. Otherwise, the fridge will do! We do welcome pets, with a $40 fee. Fee will be added after reservations are booked. Please note, while the backyard is fenced, there may be little pockets where your pooch could escape. You may want to do a walk around the yard before letting them run free.
