All bedrooms are upstairs (2 offer lake views). Surrounded by farms, this charming factory town offers the beach, fishing, golf, restaurants, & tours of the historic lighthouse. Perfect for a vacation or extra housing for weddings and reunions, the house sleeps 6-8. Two small families vacationing together is also ideal. The space The varieties of beautiful, rich woods on the floors, walls, and pocket doors offer a unique, luxurious feel that takes you back in time and gives you an appreciation for genuine craftsmanship. That is contrasted with bright colors of furnishings and rugs, to bring an uplifting joy to the space. The downstairs features contemporary décor and a modern kitchen and family room, while the upstairs bedrooms have a cozy, traditional Michigan cottage look with quilts and antiques. This solid, stately home was built to last! Being up on a hill and overlooking the rooftops and Lake Huron makes the experience of this house extra special. Guest access Entire house except basement, attic, and closets labeled "owner." Other things to note **Although we list a 3 night minimum stay for off season, we require a 5 night minimum stay from Memorial Day weekend thru Labor Day weekend. Because the house sleeps 8, it is a great place for two small families, small groups of relatives, or friends. Likewise, given that there are not many places to stay nearby, if you are a local family who is in need of extra space for family and friends for weddings, reunions, funerals or other events, this house is very conveniently located.
