Farmhouse Spathen - Ultental - South Tyrol

Enjoy your vacation in our lovingly restored farmhouse in the middle of the mountains of South Tyrol. For over 100 years, this gem has stood just before the village of St. Walburg. An ideal place to unwind, to experience the tradition and history of the Ultental valley, but without having to sacrifice modern achievements. Perfect starting point for numerous hikes to fantastic alpine pastures and lakes. Only 4 km away from the year-round open mountain railway Schwemmalm. The space The farmhouse The venerable farmhouse "Spathen" was built in 1903 and has not lost its original appearance to the present day. It has been carefully and meticulously restored, always respecting the tradition and history of Ulten. With its 150 square meters on two floors, it comfortably accommodates eight people, but is just as suitable for a cozy vacation for two. The house has four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a spacious kitchen, a living room and - the heart of every farmhouse - a parlor with a stove bench. Parlor and living room The heavy, wooden parlor table with its traditional corner bench invites you to socialize. Opposite it is the stove with its much sought-after stove bench, the favorite place for young and old. The light-flooded living room adjoins the parlor, where you can make yourself comfortable on two sofas and various armchairs and seat cushions. The kitchen In addition to the parlor, the kitchen is certainly another popular meeting place in the house. Even there, a traditional wood stove exudes cozy warmth in the cold season and is at the same time wonderfully suitable for cooking. A wooden corner bench and a solid table invite you to linger. Modern achievements such as a dishwasher, hob, oven, coffee machine and high-quality pots and pans are of course not missing in the very well-equipped kitchen. The drinking water is of the highest quality, it comes from a spring in the mountains. The bathrooms The spacious bathroom on the ground floor has a large washbasin with two sinks, a bathtub, a toilet and a bidet. The warm water is heated by solar collectors. There is also a washing machine for our guests. On the upper floor there is a shower with toilet and a single sink. The bedrooms On the upper floor there are the four cozy bedrooms, all paneled with wood as is customary in farmhouses. All are lovingly and individually furnished. In the largest of the rooms there is a single bed in addition to the double bed. In the other rooms there is enough space for two guests each. If required, we will gladly provide our hand-turned cot. The Garden The house is in the middle of a garden where real old fruit trees still grow and where vegetables, herbs and lettuce are grown in the traditional cottage garden. Under the gnarled pear tree is a table for convivial dining and spending time outdoors. You can roast to your heart's content on the charcoal grill. The meadow invites you to play and romp. The house is surrounded by a colorful balcony and thus a place in the sun can be found at any time of the day. Next to the house is the barn, which is not inhabited, but is not available to guests. Guest access Our guests have access to the entire farmhouse, no one else lives there during your stay. The empty barn, which is also part of the farm, is not rented out. Other things to note Additional important info: We charge €150 for final cleaning and a €80 fee for bed linens and towels. This money is collected in cash upon arrival.
