Come enjoy the Bunkhouse at Rocking Horn Ranch — a rustic 1-bedroom guest house featuring a private entrance with plenty of front door parking. We are conveniently located on highway 26, a short drive from Riverton (13 min), Lander (35 min) and Dubois (60 min). We are right in the middle of Wyoming’s Wind River Country, where you can easily experience the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone National Parks, Shoshone National Forest, museums and exhibits. We offer a rustic 1-bedroom guest house featuring a private entrance with plenty of front door parking, full bath with a tub/shower, washer and dryer, full kitchen, living area with TV/Blu-ray/DVD and many family-friendly movies. We have a cozy bedroom with a queen bed and an additional queen sleeper sofa with a new memory foam mattress in the living room. Guests have access to the full Bunkhouse and amenities, complementary coffee and tea, laundry and cleaning supplies, blow-dryer, ironing board/iron and linens. The entire bunkhouse is for your use, there is a door separating the bunkhouse from our arena and personal space, which we can access from the other side without disturbing our guests. In addition, our guests have full use of the BBQ area located right outside the front door. It includes a gas BBQ, firepit with wood, a picnic table and plenty of chairs to enjoy the views. We live upstairs and are usually around if you need anything but try to maintain a private experience for our guests, if they wish, but if our quest like visit we are happy to join in. We can introduce you to the horses and Ida the donkey if you like. Our ranch is a work in progress. Our goal is to have equine events and boarding in addition to our Airbnb. You are welcome to walk around the property and enjoy the views. You may roam the back pasture, but we ask you to stay out of the indoor arena, horse pens and lower pasture for your safety. Keep all gates closed and please do not feed the horses, thank you. Fremont County has many parks, museums and exhibits to explore, such as, Sinks Canyon State Park in Lander, with an accessible walk, visitor center and scenic drive. From there you can access the Shoshone, the first National Forest in the US. In July, Riverton has the famous Rendezvous & Balloon Rally where balloons lift off near downtown. A colorful site to see. Although we do not have public transportation we are located on HWY 26 which is the main route from Riverton to the Parks, and other locations. We are a short 15 min. drive from Riverton where there are all the major convenience's and restaurant's. HWY 26 is maintained nicely in the winter.
