Tucked on 7 wooded acres, the custom-built lodge vacation home offers complete privacy with close proximity to Ithaca's downtown (7 minutes), Cornell (12 minutes), and Ithaca College (5 minutes). The space The Great Room offers spectacular views of surrounding woods with floor-to-ceiling windows, a wood-burning fireplace with a sunken seating area and plenty of lounging space. There are two very spacious king bedrooms upstairs, each with its own bath. (master is ensuite, the other bathroom is in the just outside the bedroom) The downstairs bedroom has a queen bed, own bath and walk-in closet. Luxury comfort is the key here. All beds have new high quality memory foam mattresses and the upstairs guest king bedroom has a feather bed topper. All bedrooms have high-end cotton linens, down pillows and comforters. There is also a full sofa bed/futon in the upstairs loft area that shares a bathroom with one of the upstairs bedrooms. The fully equipped kitchen has plenty of tools, gadgets, and spices to make a gourmet feast. Enjoy that perfect meal on the spacious dining deck, or inside while watching the fire glow and the snow fall outside. Hornbrook Lodge is all about comfort and relaxation! Guest access Guests can access the entire house, except one part of the basement which is used for owner storage. Other things to note PLEASE READ NOW WITH HIGH-SPEED WIFI. New in January 2025 - Spectrum 1Gbps The cell signal is spotty. T-Mobile or AT&T gets the best service (one to two bars at the front of the house). Verizon is terrible to non-existent. SPECTRUM PHONE LINE IS AVAILABLE FOR YOUR USE. Winter stays- 4WD or AWD is strongly recommended in winter. Please see house rules for more detailed information. We are in a rural setting, about 7-10 minutes from Downtown/The Commons. A car is necessary as there are no stores or restaurants within walking distance. This property has stairs and is not suited for individuals with limited mobility. Please do not book if this does not suit your needs. Exterior security camera is at the property, monitoring the driveway entrance and front stairs. Noise / party monitor is inside the property.
