Our Conestoga wagon sleeps up to 6 and is great for family retreats, girls weekends, etc. The wagon is equipped with 1 queen bed, and 2 twin bunk beds (4 twin beds). It is heated/cooled, has electric, & Wi-Fi connectivity! Dining area, & bathrooms are located in the Dickhouse manor approx. 35 yards away. Guests can choose between a cast iron tub or a shower bathroom option. The space Boone Monument Village is an authentically restored/recreated 1850s village that is home to several historic structures, residences and lodges. Our large barn and all our residences are furnished with period appropriate antiques, and are available for occupancy year-round, while our lodges (wagons and tipis) are set up "glamping style" and available only for seasonal occupancy except for the insulated Sacajawea tipi that is also available year-round. The owners have been meticulous in their effort to provide modern comforts while still enabling guests with the opportunity to escape the hustle and bustle of modern life. The reproduction Conestoga wagon is approximately 1.5 times the size of a historic wagon, has a brand new all-around tarp and is furnished with an air conditioner and heater which will keep the interior of the wagon comfortable on most days. On very warm and humid days, the interior temperature may not reach a comfortable range until sunset. It is outdoor "glamping" after all! Guests may also enjoy storytelling cobbling around a glamorous campfire in the firepit, and even cook on the fire "pioneer style"! Imagine the incredible experiences and memories for kids of all ages! Firewood and full cookware/accessories are available at an additional cost, but incredible stargazing is complimentary :-)! Guest access Guests will have access to the Conestoga wagon, fire pit, benches and the acreage surrounding the wagon, in addition of a bathroom and an interior dining area with cold water, coffee and snacks located in the Dickhouse Manor. Guests may also have access to a covered porch attached to the same manor (if not occupied) and the red barn grand patio and rose garden on the upper side of the barn (if not occupied). A 4 acre lake can also be accessed and fishing is permitted by solely on a "catch and release" basis (if fishing is desired, please request this option at registration time). Walking paths and a creek on the 54 acre property are also accessible at most times.
