THE HIVE by Skybox Cabins

At the Hive, we have blended a classic A-frame style with the treehouse feel that our guests love. Our largest cabin so far will sleep four with room for dining and just hanging out. The huge porch wrapped around the trees provides the perfect spot for relaxing with family or friends. Minimum guest age is 18. The space To access The Hive, you must follow the rock path through the trees and across the wooden walkway. From the cover of nearby cedar and hardwoods, you are guaranteed a concert from our local birds and maybe even a gobble from the wild turkeys. Deer, jack rabbits, horses and a couple of cows may also pay you a visit. The Hive is furnished with electricity, hot water and air conditioning/heating. A small refrigerator, coffee maker, induction cooktop and microwave can be found in the kitchenette. There is no TV so bring a book or maybe just good company! The following will also be provided with your stay: Bed linens and pillows (Queen size memory foam bed) Towels Shampoo/Conditioner Body wash/Soap Picnic grill (provide your own charcoal) Plates, glasses, silverware, some cooking utensils, pots and pans Water filtration system with drinking water on tap at the kitchen sink Some snacks and drinks Please be aware this cabin features steep stairs, if you have issues with stairs please consider before booking Guest access Our property is gated and the entrance code will be provided on your check in date. The keycode to the Hive will also be provided at that time. Parking is available on site. Guests are free to explore the 50 acres of private land. Walk the property down to Possum Hollow creek (seasonal) and stick your feet in the cold Paluxy water or find a sunny spot on an oversized limestone rock and just have a drink and relax. Located minutes from Dinosaur Valley State Park, downtown Glen Rose and Fossil Rim, there are options for outings...if you bring yourself to leave the serenity found in our modern treehouse home. Other things to note The pathway from the parking spot to the Hive entrance is stone steps with no railing. The stairs up to the loft are very steep. Similar to a ladder but with side railings. There is a queen size sofa bed downstairs for those that are not comfortable with the stairs. In order to maintain a serene environment for all of our guests, guests under the age of 18 or more than two guests are not permitted. Guests who choose to violate this policy will be asked to leave immediately. Date changed requests must be made 30 days in advance of check-in date. Only one date change is allowed.
