The Guest House at Fox Creek Farm is the perfect place to relax & enjoy the Genesee River Valley! Our family farm is situated on 30 acres and surrounded by beautiful farmland as far as the eye can see! Located at the end of a gravel road, the Guest House is perfect for couples, families, adventurers, business and equine travelers, and those visiting our many local wedding barn venues, breweries, wineries, lakes, golf courses, and other area attractions. While the 1800's home has recently been updated, it maintains plenty of rustic charm with exposed wood beams and hardwood floors. The first floor features an amazing kitchen, full laundry room, full bath, office/bedroom, dining room, and living room perfect for visiting and relaxing. The second floor features a cozy master bedroom with attached half bath and second bedroom full of natural light. Sip your coffee on the covered patio in morning, enjoy lunch under the trees in the picnic area, and gather around the fire pit to enjoy spectacular sunsets and starlit nights. (Although you will want to spend your time outside, guests can rest easy knowing the guest house has CENTRAL AIR!) The Guest House at Fox Creek Farm is the perfect hub for out of town sightseers visiting the Finger Lakes West Region or traveling Routes 5 & 20. We are located less than 15 minutes from Avon, Caledonia, Geneseo, and York, 30 minutes from Letchworth State Park, Conesus Lake, Batavia, and Rochester, and 50 minutes from Canandaigua, Swain Ski Resort and Bristol Mountain. We have even hosted families coming to the area to visit Niagara Falls and Watkins Glen! **Fox Creek Farm is equine friendly for guests hauling in to visit the Genesee Valley Greenway Trail, Genesee Valley Hunt, Letchworth State Park, Mendon Ponds, and other equine events. We are also available for equine layovers. Please inquire for details. Guests will have access to the entire home and immediate yard as well as the marked walking path around the perimeter of the pasture fields. During the summer season the path is lined by wild flowers and absolutely stunning! (The path is grass covered so you may wish to bring waterproof boots for your early morning walks.) For guests staying in the winter months, bring your cross country skis or snow shoes. The farm is a beautiful place to enjoy in all seasons! We would love to share a farm experience with our guests - scheduled farm visits with the animals are available upon request. Visitors of all ages love the farm visit experience almost as much as the Fox Creek Farm animals do! For liability reasons, guests are not permitted in the barns, fields, or pastures unless otherwise authorized. Guests assume any and all risk associated with activities on the farm and animal interaction. We are available for guest questions and needs via AirBNB messenger and phone/text if need be. We will also be available on-site in the evenings when watering flowers (seasonal). We love to visit with our guests but also respect your privacy during the stay. If you are a visitor who likes to chat, we are glad to do so. If you prefer limited interaction, we’ll just wave and say hello if you are out and about. Fox Creek Farm is located in the heart of the Genesee River Valley known for its rich soils and multi-generational family farms. As the crow flies, we are 1/2 mile from the river. Because of the diverse agriculture here, the area is abundant in farm fresh local food, beverages, and many other products. The farm is within 2 miles of three access points to the Genesee Valley Greenway State Park Trail and a short drive away from a few other points of entry. The “Greenway” is a 90 mile public use corridor that extends through 16 towns and multiple counties. This hidden gem is a nature lover’s dream! Walk, run, bike, snowmobile, cross country ski, or enjoy the trail by horseback. The trail overlooks the river in places, farm fields, and a few historic points like Yorks Landing. This added bonus is just moments away from the farm and adds a bit of additional adventure for guests who like to explore. The Genesee River Valley is also known as the 'Finger Lakes West' Region - a perfect vacation destination! There is so much to see and do locally! From small town to big city there is literally “something for everyone” within a 30 minute drive. Please reach out for suggestions! Whether your visit includes quiet time with your family, day trips to surrounding attractions, or nightlife in the Rochester or Buffalo, Fox Creek Farm offers an authentic experience for guests season by season. Please note Fox Creek Farm is also a small livestock farm and horse boarding operation. There will be minimal traffic to the barn area which is separate from The Guest House. Our boarder is very friendly so please feel free to give her a wave. We will be on site in the morning and evening and occasionally during the day to care for the animals at the barn. For safety reasons please do not approach the barn area if we are working with the horses or cows. Animals are creatures of habit and will spook easily. When it is safe to do so, we will gladly allow you to visit with the animals. Please drive with caution on our road. There is a 20 mph speed limit posted - this is for your safety and ours! We ask that ALL guests respect the speed limit. On occasion there are tractors, dogs, kids, horses, deer, and the resident fox who may be sharing the road. Please drive slowly and enjoy the view! The Guest House now has fiber optic cable high speed WiFi!!! Cuddle up and enjoy your favorite streaming service! Working remote? This major upgrade will allow you fantastic internet. The home also has Spectrum cable TV along with a DVD player for those who still watch DVDs. A fire pit is located in the back yard - wood is provided free of charge for guests for outdoor use only. Please use caution when using the fire pit (we kindly ask guests to refrain from using the fire pit if too windy). A charcoal grill has been installed for visitors who wish to have a cookout. Charcoal can be purchased nearby. Basic grill utensils have been provided. (If you’d rather not cook, we are glad to recommend one of our many local, outstanding restaurants!) A note regarding toiletries….the guest house is stocked with dish soap, hand soap, hand sanitizer, and laundry soap. We do not provide personal shower items which is noted in the listing but sometimes overlooked. Should you forget your necessities there are 3 Dollar General stores and 2 grocery stores within 10 minutes of the farm. Fox Creek Farm offers “Farm Fresh Breakfast Bundles” for you to experience a true farm to table breakfast! Everything in the bundle is either homegrown on our family farm or sourced locally from our farmer neighbors and local businesses. The Fox Creek Farm Breakfast Bundles are a great addition to the kitchen staples that we already provide and offer reasonably priced convenience especially if you are arriving late in the day and wish to have the refrigerator stocked for the next morning.
