Atop a tiny hillside, this 2 bed/2 bath retro cabin sits on 5 acres with 360º views of the mountains and desert. Perfect sunrises, breathtaking sunsets, and the best stargazing this side of Giant Rock. 5 min Integratron and Giant Rock 10 min King of Hammers entrance 25 min Joshua Tree Visitors Center 24 min Pioneertown & world famous Pappy & Harriet’s Sorry, NO PETS allowed The space Feel nostalgic, comfortable and safe in this 2 bed / 2 bath retro cabin. Indoors, gather in the living room to play board games from your childhood or ATARI, spin vintage vinyl records and air-pop popcorn while watching an awesome collection of classic movies on VHS. (Lots of Sci-fi and Horror) Outdoors, fire up the BBQ grill and propane fire pit. Soak in the 2-person planetary plunge pool (unheated) and moonwalk across the stars using the telescope on the cozy patio on 5 acres, all to yourself (Well except for the aliens, of course!). Guest access Enjoy 5 lush acres surrounding Arcturus Landing. Other things to note Free Wi-Fi Entertainment center includes: Vintage 80’s Sony Trinitron TV Vintage 80's Dual deck VCR Library of classic movies on VHS Roku Crosley record player Vintage vinyl collection Library of UFO research and Sci-fi Gskyer telescope with celestial maps Kitchen amenities include: Dishes Drinking Glasses Wine glasses Silverware Pots & Pans Baking sheet Blender Microwave Coffee maker/ filters/ creamer/ sugar Air popcorn popper Cocktail shaker Ice tray whiskey rocks BBQ grill and utensils Clothing steamer There is an air mattress, extra towels and blankets in the back closet VACATION RENTAL AGREEMENT THIS AGREEMENT IS NOT A LEASE AND CONVEYS NO RIGHTS IN REAL PROPERTY AT ANY TIME. YOUR USE IS LIMITED TO THAT STATED IN THIS AGREEMENT. COVERED PERIOD: Your sole right to use the Property begins with [3PM] check-in and ends at [11AM check-out], unless other times are approved in writing in advance by host / owner. This agreement is in effect from the time and date of the confirmation of your booking of the Property. Lock Code: I will message you with a lock code the day of your check in once it is clean and ready for you. Parking: My driveway is a dirt road that goes around the house. Park anywhere on the obvious circular path. House Manual: House Rules are posted in the Trapper Keeper on the record player, as well as on this listing. Please familiarize yourself with them before you arrive and lmk if you have any questions. Internet: No illegal or abusive use of the Internet access is allowed on the Property. Owner Access: Guest shall allow the owner of the Property or any designated workers access to the Property for cleaning, repairs and inspection of buildings, and tub on the Property. Smoking: Smoking of anything is not allowed inside the house. There is a covered ashtray on the patio. Fire Pit: The fire pit is propane. Do not use if there is wind. Directions for use are on the tag. To use, remove fabric cover. Turn knob on propane tank to open. On fire pit, turn and press big knob until you hear the gas, then press igniter until flames appear. Turn big knob to off when finished and be sure propane tank is in closed position. Please replace cover and rocks so the wind doesn’t take it. Two-Person Planetary Plunge Pool: Guest assumes all risk of injuries or harm resulting from use of the tub. It is NOT heated! Please only use the colored towels outside. No glass in or around the tub. Always keep it COVERED when not in use. Air Conditioning: There are separate mini splits in each bedroom and living room areas. Please keep the respective remotes in their correct rooms. The temperature will be set to a comfortable temperature, but can be manually adjusted. Patio Lights: The patio lights are on a timer sunset to sunrise. You can over ride it with the left switch on the wall next to the front door. BBQ Grill: Grill Utensils are in the kitchen in a gray zipper bag on the stove. Please be sure to NEVER leave the grill unattended and always remember to SHUT OFF the propane when you’re finished. Telescope: The telescope must never be left outside! Television & VCR: The TV and VCR are both vintage and rare. Please be gentle with them. You will be charged for any damage, but know that they are impossible to replace! No Pets Allowed! Do NOT move furniture Noise: Be considerate of the neighbors and keep music and voices at a respectful volume. There is a county-wide noise ordinance of no amplified music or loud noises after 10pm. Check Out: Check out is at 11am. *Please put all your garbage in bags and place in the bins outside by the grill. No loose trash. *kindly do your dishes. *Be sure to LOCK all doors and CLOSE all windows! *Please be sure the PATIO LIGHTS are turned ON when you leave. *Please let me know when you check out. LIABILITY: Guest agrees to release, indemnify, hold harmless and forever discharge host, the Property owner and their employees, agents, successors and assigns from any and all damages, losses, costs, and expenses, including the value of missing items, resulting from Guest’s failure to follow the rules stated in this Agreement or as a result of the causes stated below in this paragraph. Accordingly, host / owner may withhold all or part of your deposit if you fail to follow the rules in this Agreement, the Property listing or the Property house manual. If the cost of damages, losses, or missing items resulting from Guest’s failure to follow the rules or as a result of the causes stated in this paragraph should exceed the amount of the deposit, host / owner will bill Guest’s credit card for the difference and/or pursue legal action. Cause(s) for withholding deposit funds, charging Guest’s credit card and/or pursuing legal action include, but are not limited to: damage to premises or contents; missing or broken items; lost keys; required excessive cleaning; failure to comply fully with the departure checklist; smoke odors or damage; mailing charges for items left behind; unauthorized persons visiting or staying on the property; the presence of a dog without authorization; noise complaints after 10pm, including related fines; trespassing on neighboring properties; and unauthorized late check-out.
