Welcome to Rimba Villas, a cluster of serene, private retreats nestled in the NW nook of Gili Air, 100m from the beach. Surya is a cosy, romantic one-bed villa comprising a private pool & tropical gardens. We’ve taken care of all the facilities you need: king size bed with 100% cotton linens, AC, hot water, safe box, minibar, coffees & teas, daily housekeeping and an indulgent open bathtub (for two) that peers onto the pool! Welcome to your tropical escape! The space We created this villa with one guiding principle: take inspiration from and keep proximity to the natural native environment. As a result, you’ll find organic architecture crafted with natural materials, all sourced from the surrounding islands. Villa Surya comprises a large spacious bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and a feature open-air bathtub, from which you can peer into the garden. You also have a terrace and sundeck and your own private pool. In the fully air-conditioned room, the king size bed takes centre stage with its extra thick mattress and quality linens. There’s a wardrobe and fully stocked mini bar to help you settle in and provide you with some necessary creature comforts. And just in case you have to use your computer to put your ‘out of office’ message on, there’s a work desk, WiFi and international sockets for your convenience. The en-suite bathroom boasts a bespoke basin area with a hot water shower and quality body soap, shampoo and conditioner. Soft cotton towels are provided to wrap yourself in after your shower. From the bathroom, you can access the open bathtub area for a romantic and relaxing experience for two. The terrace and sundeck include comfortable chairs and beanbags for chill out moments in your private villa. And did we forget the private pool? We’re sure you won’t once you’ve experienced it! On request, a single bed can be placed in the room to accommodate one additional child or adult. A selection of local and international beverages are readily available in your minibar, and throughout the rest of the day fresh juices, hot drinks and small plates can be served upon request. The villa provides you with drinking water and we encourage the use of refill bottles. Villa Surya is located within the Rimba complex, a small eco-friendly resort of only three unique organic villas all with their own soul and character. Our friendly local staff of seven will be at your service 24h ensuring you have the best experience possible in and outside your villa. You’ll find several dining options along the closest beach, which is only 100 meters walk (2 mins) from your villa, or, if you wish to have your meals delivered, just ask our staff and they’ll take care of everything. Once you arrive in Gili Air we’ll be able to help you organise your activities and perhaps point out a few more things that you may like to do. Since we are on an island, you can guess that water sports are the most popular type of pursuits! Power cuts occasionally happen on the whole island, and at Rimba we’ve got you covered with an electric generator. Outside your private residence you'll also have access to the reception and bicycle parking area. Other things to note Long before the arrival of your cozy resort, this scenic island already had its tiny dwellers like mosquitos, geckos, and spiders. We thrive with the highest cleaning and pest control standards and do our best to keep them out of hotel doors. However, some creatures will inevitably pay us a visit.
