So bring your boat, PWCs, canoes, kayaks (owner has 2 kayaks for your use), or rent a boat from one of the nearby marinas and tie them up to the dock after a fun day on the lake. Lake James with over 150 miles of shoreline, is one of the most beautiful lakes you'll ever visit. Bordered by the Pisgah National Forest and Lake James State Park along its northern shores providing pristine and unspoiled vistas. Hike in the Pisgah Forest, or to any of the numerous nearby waterfalls or along the Appalachian Trail, white water raft, take a ride along the Blue Ridge Parkway, or enjoy a round of golf, There are a ton of fun things to do during your stay. In the fall, the turning colors will take your breath away, and in winter, there are a number of nearby snow ski mountains that will entertain boarders and skiers alike. Asheville is a short drive away with many attractions such as the Biltmore Estate, one of 'America's Castles'.
