Aspenhaus: Secluded Mtn Home in Golden Gate Canyon

Nestled in its own 2 acres of aspen grove this private mountain home is a peaceful escape in a quiet neighborhood. Golden Gate State Park is literally next door with over 58 miles of trails. The home offers all the amenities you need for a mountain getaway yet only a 45 min drive from downtown Denver, 30 mins to Golden, Idaho Springs and Nederland and 1 hour from Denver International Airport. The space This is a spacious 3 story mountain home with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, one on each level so you can truly spread out and have privacy if you need it. The generous master has a queen bed, walk in closet and flat screen TV and is located on the top floor. Its large private en-suite has two sinks, a wonderful soaker tub and a separate walk in shower. There is a relaxing multi-purpose seating area outside the master in the open loft space. This space has workspace, reading nook and a comfortable couch that transforms into a queen sleeper for a fourth bed (all extra bedding is provided in the master closet). The main floor comprises a full, well stocked kitchen, 6-seater dining room, 6-seater high top breakfast area and a spacious living room, all with huge windows for natural light and gorgeous mountain views . The second bedroom is also located on the main floor has a queen bed, walk in closet, flat screen TV and an attached full bathroom. The newly refinished walk-out basement on the lower floor is a private suite accessed via either the internal stairs from the main floor, from the garage or via its own exterior door entrance by the fire pit. It has a full bathroom, walk in closet and a kitchenette/wet bar with coffee machine, microwave and fridge. There is also another small seating area with flatscreen TV, stereo system and surround sound! There are plenty of outdoor seating areas to soak up the views! There is a huge 525 square foot private deck area which is equipped with a propane grill, large and smaller outdoor dining tables and chairs plus a relaxing conversation area with comfortable patio furniture . On the ground floor there is a propane fire pit with Adirondack chairs. The covered front porch area has two large wooden rocking chairs to relax and unwind. And in summer there’s even a guest hammock amongst the aspen for a lazy afternoon nap! Kitchen stocked with: Crockery, silverware, mugs & glasses for 6+ Large selection of pans and cooking equipment Coffee machine, grinder & stove top kettle - ground and bean coffee, filters (basket), selection of tea, sugar and sweetener provided. 6qt instant pot & 6 qt slow cooker Blender & stand mixer Waffle iron & 4-slice toaster Scales and baking equipment Kitchen cooking basics: flour, sugar, oil, salt & pepper, herbs & spices, basic condiments Dishwasher tablets, new-each-time dishwasher sponge, dish soap Wood stove with: Logs, kindling, newspaper for starting & matches/lighter Living room stocked with: Board games and jigsaw puzzles for all ages Books and DVDs (& DVD player!) Additional parking outside for up to three vehicles on the driveway in front of the garage area. What we don’t have: Air conditioning (but we do have a few fans) - Mountain homes don’t have aircon because they just don’t need it! Summer daytime temperatures are usually in the low 70s in the mountains. On super hot sunny days we may rarely, if ever, go above 80 degrees. Nighttime temps drop to the cool 50s. Open the windows to enjoy fresh air and cooling breeze! Guest access There is parking in the garage for one vehicle and outside is space for three vehicles on the driveway in front of the house. You may access the home via the front door, deck door or via the internal garage door to the basement suite. Please note there are external steps to both the front door and to the deck door. If you access the home via the internal garage door, there is an internal flight of stairs to get to the main floor. Other things to note In winter we will do our best to ensure the driveway is cleared of snow as soon as it is possible to do so. If it snows overnight and you plan to leave very early it might not be possible for us to clear it in time. Therefore please be prepared for snow, it can easily disrupt to your plans!
