Welcome to Lenny's Lodge; a cozy home nestled into a thriving community. Lenny's tree-filled, park like setting with 3/4 acre yard and spacious drive. We offer FREE use of bikes to enjoy a ride on the paved bike trail that runs along side the house.. Should you tire of the local activities; Lenny's is a short drive to many area attractions. This 3 bdrm 1 1/2 bath home includes a furnished kitchen, dining rm/liv. room, and a large family room. We offer continuous Wi-Fi internet and 3 tv’s. The space We offer a comfortable, clean uninhabited home where you will have access to your hosts without them staying with you. This was home to the late Leonard Wasserman who loved to entertain and served his community as a city council member, mayor and member of the colored guard with the VFW Post. Leonard was an avid bike rider, whereas to honor him and his years of service, the city named the portion of the Oregon trail running along side his property "The Leonard Wasserman Bike Trail." We offer the use of bikes FREE to our customers to use during their stay. This is the home that he raised his 8 children and lived in for more than 50 years. Guest access Guest have access to portions or all of the home, depending on the number of bedrooms needed for guests registered to stay. Guests will have full access to the 3/4 acre yard with many mature trees and picnicing spaces. In addition, guest will have a short walk/bike ride to the nearby Oregon Recreation Complex where they can watch and/or utilize ball diamonds, soccer fields, skateboard ramps, and playground equipment. Just past this complex on the bike trail is Pearson Park; A beautiful setting for paddle boating, bike riding, running/walking, tennis, and more playground equipment. Should you head North on the bike trail you will arrive at Maumee Bay State Park. This park has swimming, hiking trails, and gorgeous sunsets. A short 13 mile car ride brings the opportunity to enjoy Crane Creek and Metzger's Marsh; two state run facilities that are great for bird watching and observing animals in their natural habitat. There is also a state of the art nature center onsite that can be enjoyed year round. Head west and in 7.4 miles you will be at Mudhen's Stadium in downtown Toledo. An exciting area complete with shopping and dining opportunities as well as a beautiful walkway along the Maumee River.n Other things to note The house has all the safety accommodations of fire extinguisher, 2nd story rope ladder, and smoke/carbon monoxide alarms. There are two window A/C units and 2 portable units. These units will keep it very compfortable for you. Bird watchers there are several state parks a short distance with fabulous bird activity. For astronomy observers or astrophotographers it is a Bortle 5 with Bortle 4 area just 4 or 5 miles to the east.
