Guest access Visitors travelling from Thessaloniki through Egnatia highway (E90) drive until Ioannina. There is a sign in Egnatia just before Metsovo to turn right to Zagori. DO NOT TURN THERE. YOU SHOULD EXIT EGNATIA AT IOANNINA, NOT EARLIER. If there is no need to enter the city, 3 km after the exit from Egnatia to Ioannina take the ring road (E951). You end up in front of the airport where you turn left to Kozani (E853). At the 19th kilometer and after passing the village Metamorphosis (Karyes), turn right towards Central Zagori - Vikos Gorge and follow the signs to the villages Vitsa - Monodendri. The route is about 30 minutes from Ioannina. You will see Zagori Suites at the entrance of Vitsa. Visitors from Athens drive towards Korinthos and Patra via E65 Highway. Before Patra, drive over the big bridge (Gefyra)of Rio towards the Ionia highway E5. Athens-Rio is about 200km or 2 hours.Then, drive all the way up towards Ioánnina (220km - 2 hours) and exit at Ioannina. You may enter the city of Ioannina if you like to see it and buy goods from the local supermarkets, or :After 3 km from the exit of the highway turn left to the ring road (E951).
