This is a completely custom built tiny house that was completed in 2019. This special place is on 23 acres of private forest and is right by the Lost River state park. Welcome packages are included with snacks, breakfast, s'mores and beverages! NOTE: Our insurance provider requires all guests to sign a rental agreement. If you have an issue with this, please do not book. Thank you! A full kitchen with a toaster oven (it's a tiny house - full sized oven isn't going to fit!) is included along with two comfortable queen beds and a full bathroom with a shower and flushable toilet. There is a steep road for the last 1/4 mile leading to the property. It is navigable by all cars, however, AWD / 4WD and/or experience with steep roads is recommended. A large parking area is on top, along with the 23 acres of wilderness. There is swimming and boating (bring your own, no motor boats) at nearby Trout Pond. The state park (less than 3 miles away) has lots of hiking, an Olympic sized swimming pool, athletic facilities, a playground, and picnic areas. It is beautiful, quiet, and very green. We have a wooden deck, comfortable outdoor furniture, a fire pit, and propane BBQ grill. Dogs are welcome! We have a dog bed and dog bowls for your furry family members. We do ask that you not leave them alone in the tiny house. Lost River is extremely dog-friendly though. All linens, towels, and toiletries are provided. The property is shared with another rental house that is approximately 300 yards away and is 95% blocked from view by the trees. The parking lot is shared. Lost River Vacations is Deaf owned, operated, and built. We are very responsive to guests and will do our best to make sure you have a wonderful stay. We are hands off for the most part as we want to make sure you have privacy. Lost River is a beautiful town in the wilderness. There are many outdoor activities, rafting, mountain biking, hiking, climbing, and more nearby. We recommend stopping by the Trading Post & the Guesthouse. The drive up from the DC area is very pretty, and Woodbine Farmer's Market (shopping, dog run area, kids area, bakery, etc) , Spelunkers or Blue Wing Frog in Front Royal (eats), Luray Caverns, and many wineries (Barrel Oak, and many more) are some of our recommendations for stops on your way up. Lost River is remote and a car will be needed. The last 1/4 mile of our road is very steep. It is navigable by all cars but after inclement cold weather AWD may be needed.
