Description
One of the longest established Airbnb listings in Nevada City, we have over 100 5-star reviews with Airbnb and VRBO, (check our glowing reviews from many satisfied previous guests), Camp Run A Muck is a 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom A-Frame chalet located within a 10 - 15 minute drive from Highway 49 and the center of Nevada City. Set in a neighborhood of mature evergreen trees, we offer serenity and peace. Exterior security cameras cover all sides of the house, so no expectation of privacy outside. The space Welcome to all the BSM Triathlon participants, good luck to all. Not just another cookie cutter home or room with spartan decore, ordinary discount department store or Big Box furnishings, come and enjoy our Tahoe style home with charming historic and period furnishings. Extensive woodwork and exposed beam ceilings highlight the charm and natural ambiance of our Camp Run A Muck. A perfect hideaway to unplug and unwind. A secluded mountain getaway that offers solitude and peace or a great place to gather and entertain. Camp Run A Muck offers one both options. Set up with all the creature comforts you may have at home ( WiFi, Hi Speed internet, HDTV's, 7.1 Stereo System with surround sound, a game room with a video gaming system, and a 4 - 6 person jetted hot tub ), it's all available here. Western exposure almost guarantees gorgeous sunsets from our wraparound elevated deck. Even with inclement weather, the cozy ambiance of a fire in the wood stove, a good and nurturing meal, adding your favorite beverage, and let Mother Nature put on a command performance for your enjoyment. Perfect for entertaining, the sunset deck has comfortable seating for up to 10 people, two full sized adjustable umbrellas (to shade you from the direct afternoon sun), a Weber deluxe gas BBQ, and for those that enjoy, an amazing hot tub with seats for 4 or 5 people. Each season has it's own natural beauty and charm here in the high country. Spring, Summer and Fall weather is usually warm days and cool nights. The Fall colors in the surrounding hills and out toward the sunset can be amazing. As the home sits in an area of full size evergreen trees (some even growing through our wrap around deck), it never gets too warm inside; even when daytime temperatures climb into the 100's. Snowfall is usually a dusting at our elevation of 3100', however temps can drop to the teens ( F ), making day and night climates a bracing contrast to what you may be used to. The house features 2 gas fireplaces and a wood fueled fireplace (in the living room). The Master Bedroom features its own gas fireplace so there's no need for firewood to create a "spark", Situated at the top of a semi-private cul-de-sac, the house has filtered views of Scott's Flat Lake (through neighboring mature evergreen trees) from the sunset deck and the panoramic windows of the upper story Master Bedroom. The water's edge is only a 2 - 5 minute walk downhill from our front door to several swimming beaches with afternoon shade to choose from. A large level parking area in front of the house can park up to 4 cars or SUV's, with more parking on the street below. The home is a short 10 - 15 minute drive from Highway 49 and downtown Nevada City, California. Sister City, Grass Valley is another 5 minutes down the highway. An easy drive from Auburn, or Sacramento, the home is a short 3 hour drive from the fog, wind and traffic of San Francisco. For skiers, snowboarders or for snow play with the kids, 45 minutes to Sugar Bowl and Boreal Ski Resort. If nightlife and a little gaming suits you better, a 90 minute drive will take you to Reno. As we've found, come to stay or play in beautiful Nevada City. Guest access Parking in front of house on level graveled driveway ( No more than 4 vehicle at a time).
