Welcome to the Sand Caper #208! A resort-style condo located at the quiet southern end of Estero Island featuring 2 bedrooms, 2 full baths, and a spacious open floor plan. This adorable beach condo is the perfect place to get away and enjoy the salt life! The location is wonderful with numerous restaurants and night life within walking distance as well as a CVS. Your stay at Sand Caper will definitely provide the potential for an unforgettable getaway! Please understand that due to hurricane Ian, Fort Myers Beach (and our building) is still in a reconstruction phase. There are many shops, bars and restaurants open and the beach is as beautiful as ever, but there is construction going on in our building and around the entire beach as it rebuilds. Our unit is in perfect shape, the building has been painted, the elevator is working, but the pool is still being re-done as well as the landscaping and parking area. The units that were on the first floor were completely destroyed, so there will be some noise as the reconstruction takes place. It hasn't been that bad, but please keep this in mind when booking and staying. Thanks for your support and patience. Also, please note that while we love our furry friends, per our HOA regulations, pets are not allowed. Service animals and ESA will be considered, but we have to provide the information to the board a minimum of two weeks prior to your stay for approval. An unapproved animal will not be allowed in the unit. Please message us before booking if you are going to be traveling with a service or emotional support animal. As you enter the property, you are greeted with a charming covered seating area on the front porch and the main floor has an atrium that opens to the sky, 7 stories up, with tropical foliage in the center. This condo is tucked away on the second floor which offers a quiet, tranquil setting and lots of privacy. The kitchen has brand new appliances, plenty of granite counter space and well-stocked cabinets to make it easier to prepare full-course meals, if desired. There is also a pantry and a pass through to the dining area. Enjoy entertaining in the spacious, bright, airy, and well-furnished living/dining area. This space offers sliding glass doors that open to the screened-in, furnished balcony with limited views of the gulf and amazing sunsets. It also has a second set of sliding glass doors that open out to the front of the resort, overlooking the soon to be re-opened pool! The master bedroom on-suite has a walk-in shower with sliding glass doors, 6-drawer vanity with lavatory and a large closet. The bedroom is beautifully furnished with a king-size bed, night stands and lamps, a 7-drawer dresser with large flat screen TV, a large walk-in closet and a sliding glass door out to the balcony. The guest bedroom is nicely furnished in a beach motif, with a queen-size bed, a twin bed with night stand and lamp, ample closet space and flat screen TV. Adjacent to the guest room is the guest bath with tub/shower combination, vanity with lavatory. This condo even offers its own extremely convenient laundry/utility room with stacked washer and dryer situated off the foyer. This property has been officially registered with the Town of Fort Myers Beach and is compliant with all requirements and regulations. STR OPT OUT #19-0811 Amenities at Sand Caper normally include a gated, heated pool with ample seating/lounge chairs, covered tables, outdoor shower and newly updated lavatories. Covered, reserved parking, bike racks, dedicated areas for gas BBQ grills, tables/chairs, but at this time due to hurricane Ian, the outside of the building is being redone and will soon be completed. There is a place to rinse the sand off your shoes and feet before re-entering the building. A secure lobby where an elevator takes you to #208 or Bellman trolleys are available to make your arrival a little easier. The hallways on each floor are open air yet sheltered from the elements, to allow the island winds to waft around you as you approach the door to your accommodations. The property is outfitted with high speed wireless internet. Also, right next to the condo is a very convenient and nicely furnished community lounge, complete with its own fully equipped kitchen, sofas, chairs, large wall-mounted flat screen TV, game tables, screened in balcony, and bathroom. The beach at this portion of the island is expansive, connecting its guests to 7 miles of white sugar sand beach. The resort has a unique beach/lagoon setting on the gulf side. You can access it by exiting the front door at ground level, with sidewalks out to the lagoon area, and then walking slightly to the right and then left straight out to the shore. The island offers water activities abound; parasailing, jet ski rentals, and fishing charters to name a few. It has numerous restaurants and night life for your choosing. Your stay at Sand Caper will definitely provide the potential for an unforgettable getaway! We have a management company for any issues you may encounter during your stay. CVS and other stores, shops and restaurants are located right across the street. Publix is down the street for all your groceries. Traffic can be tough during the busy season as with most beach towns. Bikes, scooters and other equipment for the beach are available for rent. Stays can be booked up to one year in advance. If you are looking to stay further then that, please message us and we can get it reserved for you. For added convenience, directly across the boulevard is a CVS pharmacy, Santini Marina Plaza (which should be reopening soon) with many shops and restaurants, the island's major supermarket, Publix, is just a 2-mile drive away. There is also quick exit via the south bridge to nearby Naples, Bonita Springs, Estero and RSW International Airport. In addition, trolley service is available from directly in front of Santini Plaza to the Times Square area, the central hub of Fort Myers Beach, where there is an extended fishing pier, clubs, restaurants, and boutiques. The trolley can also take you south to the secluded Lover's Key park.
