Cedar Shores Chalet is located on Cascade Beach Road in Lutsen, Minnesota. The home features three spacious bedrooms, each with a modern king-sized bed. A perfectly situated loft includes two twin beds for relaxing or a cozy night’s sleep. Two bathrooms assure plenty of space and comfort, including a bathroom on both the main and upper floors. Guests with a natural zest of the culinary arts will appreciate the custom cabinetry and stainless steel appliances in the kitchen. Following a delicious home-cooked meal, there’s arguably no better view in all of Minnesota than from the two-story wall of windows adorning each living area in the clean and spacious home. Speaking of the lake, guests have direct access to a private stretch of Lake Superior shoreline from the Cedar Shores Chalet. A natural stone fire pit is available for guests to use, a unique feature that, when used at night, could include a chance to see the Northern Lights. It’s also popular to enjoy the sounds and beauty of Lake Superior from the home’s lake-facing deck, which was recently expanded, giving you more room to enjoy the incredible views. Accessibility: This home is an accessible home, with one 7-inch step to access the main door. There is a bedroom and a bathroom with a large tile shower with a 3-inch lip to access on the main level. There is solid (hardwood or tile) flooring in the main living area and bathroom, and carpet in the living room and bedroom. Need More Space? Cedar Shores Chalet is located next door to Notre Reve. Renting both together would provide space for larger groups or two families traveling together who each want their own space. 2025 Updates and Improvements: Cedar Shores Chalet is getting a lot of updates! A new gas fireplace in the living area, a beautiful expanded outdoor deck with additional seating, larger lake-facing windows, and more! We will update photos periodically as improvements are made over time. The gas fireplace is not yet functional. The Lutsen area offers everything from miles of hiking and biking trails to the Midwest’s premier downhill skiing destination – Lutsen Mountains. Known primarily as a ski resort, during the summer months and fall you can take a scenic gondola ride up to the summit of Moose Mountain. Once you reach the top, enjoy breathtaking views of Lake Superior and the surrounding wilderness. Staying on the wilderness trail, Cascade State Park is just down the road and features a gorgeous waterfall following a short, easy hike. You are also just a short drive from several North Shore restaurants and quaint, locally-owned shops, including the North Shore’s first winery and first local coffee roaster. After a marvelous day of adventure on the North Shore, return to the Cedar Shores Chalet to unwind with the soothing sounds of Lake Superior.
