On the Bay across from Charleston Harbor. Convenient, clean and cozy, rustic 1940s era pastel-painted cottage, perfect for frugal travelers. Comfortable queen bed plus a fold-out couch bed in the living room. The space Bay Cove Cottage B is one side of a rustic 1940s duplex. It is a clean and cozy, pastel-colored, 550 sq ft cottage with one bedroom and a fold-out couch in the living room. The kitchen and bathroom are simple, and retain original vintage character. There is no stove or oven, but a microwave, skillet, and portable single burner rangette, and refrigerator/freezer are provided in the kitchen. The vintage bathroom is small, with no tub and the shower has a small entry (16 inches wide). We are offering the duplex as the basic option of Bay Cove properties and offer few amenities. Cable TV provided, wifi is available throughout, and there is a coin-operated laundry service in a separate room in the duplex. There is a partial bay view from the living room, and a small backyard patio right outside your door is available for a spectacular view of the bay and Charleston harbor. We can direct you to easy bayshore access that requires a 500 foot walk along Cape Arago Hwy., or other easy bay access for clamming or crabbing within short driving distances. Guest access Guests have access to the cottage, the shared laundry room with an incredible view, a coin-operated washer and dryer and a larger refrigerator with ice maker, a small patio. No smoking is allowed in or near the duplex or house on the property. Other things to note We have lived in the area since 1999, and have never been anywhere we like better. We are a retired couple, and Bay Cove Properties is a work in progress, and we are striving to improve the property as a reasonably priced vacation rental.
