Cottage includes full kitchen, private back yard, cozy gas fire place, dedicated W/D. Second bed: loveseat pullout, twin. Complete with King Bed, "The Oaks" has been renovated as a modestly luxurious vacation cottage. With a charming gas-lit fire place and radiant floor heated bath and dressing rooms it is warm and cozy in winter months. Built below grade with northern exposure the space remains cool and refreshing on even the hottest days. There are fans to move the cool air(and warm in cool weather)around. The separate entrance and wooded back yard makes "the Oaks" extremely private. Your hosts are on the property, on the other side of the driveway, ready to help or answer any questions. The space has 3-filter system whole-house filtered water, no need for bottled water! In response to current issues regarding the airborne transmission of the corona virus and the negative impacts to air quality due to the fires, we have placed a high quality portable hepa air purifier in the space. The cottage is a separate building with separate entrance there are there no shared walls. It is what is called in the vernacular a "Granny Cottage" or accessory unit. It has it's own laundry room in the garage above, dedicated to the airbnbs(2). There is a dedicated off-street parking area in the driveway for one vehicle and plenty of street parking as well. Cable TV and high speed internet service is available in the cottage. We are on the property and available by text or phone with local knowledge and help with any issues that may arise during your stay. "The Oaks" borders Petaluma's famous Historic District and is a ten minute walk through the lovely old neighborhood to the vibrant downtown. There is wide choice excellent restaurants and shopping within minutes of driving or walking. As well as the the public bus system that can take you all the way to downtown San Francisco there is the new "Smart Train" that serves much off Sonoma and Marin counties.
