Daily golf specials at 4 distinct courses including Arnold Palmer's The Legend, Tom Weiskopf's Cedar River, the challenging Schuss Mountain Course and the original Summit Golf Course. Mountain Biking & Hiking - Check out Glaciel Hills Mountain bike trails! 31.5 miles of hiking, mountain biking and winter sports trails. 12 min or 6 miles from Chalet Boating: Just a few minutes to Lake Bellaire part of the chain of Lakes, including Torch Lake! Spend the day boating the beautiful Lakes, either bring your own boat or rent one. There are many nearby marina's including Torch River Marina to rent a ski boat or pontoon. The public boat launch is within 3 miles from our Chalet Amenities include use of private Bellaire Beach Club, which offers lounging at the beach, basketball, pickle ball, and club house. There are plenty of lounge chairs to relax there. There are also picnic tables and bbq grills. Perfect place to hang out for the day! Use of indoor/outdoor pool, hot tub, bike rentals, tennis and disc golf at Lakeview Hotel minutes from chalet. The hotel also offers a restaurant and stunning views. A fitness center is available for an additional fee. Kayaks - Paddles & Pedals in downtown Bellaire offers kayak rentals at a reasonable price. You can also bring your own and store it in our garage. Grass River Natural Area - 12 min or 7.2 miles - Northern Michigan Premier Nature Preserve. Seven miles of trails and boardwalks take visitors through cedar swamp, sedge meadows and upland forest. You can also access trails by docking your small boat or kayak from Grass River. See their website for more information. Elk Rapids located approximately 30 miles away offering great shopping and some of the best beaches around. Shopping: Quaint shops in downtown Bellaire, Alden & Elk Rapids. Take a day trip to Traverse City approximately 45 minutes away for many stores & other activities. Restaurants - there are several nearby restaurants including the popular Shorts Brewery in down town Bellaire. The Lakeview hotel offers a beautiful view and just minutes away. Dockside Restaurant on Torch Lake is one of our favorites! After a day out in the area, you can just come back to the chalet and hang out, grill, make a bonfire, play basketball and enjoy the yard. Plenty of room for kids to play. This is truly a beautiful resort! We are located on a quiet dead end street so you can spend quiet time as well.
