Described by guests as "a small slice of heaven", the Cabin on Brown's Lake is your perfect nature based vacation. You’ll love the peace and quiet of, the private 10 acre lake and surrounding 40 wooded acres. Located at the end of a half-mile driveway, the woodland setting is ideal for your relaxation and enjoyment. There's a small rowboat for your use. Fiber optic internet keeps you in touch and two large screen TV's provide evening entertainment. The space The large elevated deck has a six place dining table and gas bar-b-q and offers a truly great view for ​a pleasant lunch or dinner. Out front, ​there's a fire ring and a dock with a swim ladder to dive off or toss out a line. Excellent bluegill and small mouth bass fishing. If you're looking for a place with outstanding natural beauty​ in a peaceful setting, you'd be hard-pressed to find a more relaxing place. And for you business types who need to stay in touch, there's a fiber optic internet connection. Check-in and check-out are both 1:00 pm The cabin is built from southern yellow cedar and features a great room with a cathedral ceiling. The dining table seats six. The fully stocked kitchen has newer appliances including a dishwasher, microwave, toaster, crockpot, coffee maker - everything you might need for meal preparation. Security and mousing services are provided by Trinny. She's a jet black, long-haired female cat who looks after the place when I'm not there. She has 24 hr access via a pet door in the basement. While quite friendly, she tends to keep to herself for the most part. She needs to be fed once a day. There is no litterbox to clean as she does her business outside. NOTE: The bedbug review was bogus. While a licensed inspector found no evidence of bedbugs, to be sure I ordered a $2500 heat treatment covering the entire building. Dogs need to be 25 lbs or less. Please provide type and size information when making a reservation request. Guest access You have use of the entire property. Entry is by keypad. Other things to note You should be aware that my cat, Trinny will be in residence. She's generally pretty friendly and I keep her around for her mousing skills. She gets along with most dogs but not if they're aggressive or many in number. Use your best judgment. I also ask that you dispose of your own trash. There is a town dump in Reed City a few miles away. Only dogs under about 30 lbs. permitted. Bed bug review was bogus as a licensed inspector found no other evidence. Never-the-less, as a precautionary measure I had a $2500 treatment performed on the entire cabin.
