The area is also known as the Southern Outer Banks and The Crystal Coast, named Best N.C. Beach by Southern Living 5/2024 and the same publication also did a story on EI saying it has the “clearest water and whitest sand” in NC in their 2/2025 edition. The home is one of the few cottages on the island with both ocean and sound views; it has the easiest access to the beach of any 2nd row house on the island! Cool, fun, and VERY authentic beach cottage. Mix of 50 year old locally sourced, hand milled pine floors, modern kitchen and electronics, and fun bright colors. Just 30 steps from the property line to the dune! Built by one of the owner's cousins in 1968. This is a second home and place of solitude for my family and yours!! Pick up the 10+ mile bike trail adjacent to the property and enjoy on the bikes provided (ride down to the legendary Big Oak Drive Inn for shrimpburgers, then stop at Albert’s for ice cream on the way back :-) or just spend your days strolling the beautiful NC beaches! SunChaser is ready for you! You'll arrive to cool drinks in the fridge, beds freshly made, and all the essentials laid out and ready for you! Plenty of private off street parking, public boat ramp down the street, great kayaking on the sound available for rent, a skate park not far away - and, of course the gorgeous and private NC beach just steps from the property. Great bike riding on quiet street (Ocean Blvd) or on paved bike trail that runs more than 10 miles! Two adult bikes and three children's bikes are in the house for use. Easy access to the island with bridges on the East and West ends of the islands (arrive via NC Hwy 70 or NC Hwy 58).
