Stay in our super unique solar-powered eco-friendly earthbag Super Adobe eco-dome casita; full living room, galley style kitchen, upstairs loft with a queen-sized bed, and a full bathroom with a unique locally sourced rock shower, Wi-Fi satellite-based, avg. speeds of 50 Mbps The property has a shared pool & heated Hot Spa, vegetable gardens, fruit trees, and chickens too! IMPORTANT: For tall individuals, consider our Nebbiolo or Zinfandel. They have king-sized beds and very tall ceilings. The space Our 700 sq. foot dome home (casita) is made from EarthBag Super Adobe construction (dirt and plastic bags). Locally sourced and recycled materials have made this connected to mother earth space completely unique. Featuring a cozy unique second-floor bedroom at the top of the dome, spacious 350 sq. foot round living room, work desk, full kitchen and full locally sourced rock bathroom. Some of the amenities include queen sized bed, locally sourced rock shower, WIFI internet and full kitchen with gas range and pantry. The property also features a community pool, hot spa, pizza oven, 2 grills, 3 vegetable gardens, and over 80 fruit trees. POOL/SPA USE: To use the pool/spa, you need to reserve a specific time upon your arrival. Minimum one-hour use per casita per day, two-hour maximum when available. The Spa is heated upon request. Need two hours' notice. We are located in the heart of the Valle de Guadalupe Baja California wine country where you will have access to the famous L.A. Cetto winery and the over 150 boutique wineries and restaurants are all within a 20 minute drive from Hacienda Eco-Domes. So come hike the area, explore local wineries, visit our local restaurants or just chill out and digital detox. Stay for a weekend or a week and make Hacienda Eco-Domes your base camp with everything you need to recharge and relax. Guest access Our 6100m2 (1.75 acre) park like property is wide open for guests to enjoy. The Merlot Dome Home is a separate building completely independent of the main house and our other 3 casitas offering guests peaceful privacy. Other things to note Wi-Fi is satellite-based; good for email and streaming videos. We typically average about 50 Mbps download speeds. Did we mention we have chickens and fresh ranch eggs? Well, Hacienda Eco-Domes is home to friendly naturally fed chickens. Guests are welcome to join us in picking fresh eggs in the morning hours. Fresh Veggies! We also have 3 lovely vegetable and herb gardens where guests are welcome to pick herbs or vegetables to make fresh home-cooked meals. Water is King in the Baja California Desert! Water use is precious so we ask our guests to monitor excessive water usage. We do recycle all grey and black water for use on trees and non-food production areas. And we also harvest the rainwater. 100% Solar Powered! Hacienda Eco-Domes is grid tied powered by our 30 Solar Panels on the roof of the main house. Spring and Fall Climate: Our weather is usually perfect during this time of year. Temps hover around 70 F during this time. No need for heat or fans. Summer and Winter Climate: At the very hottest time of year; usually July, August, and September, the outside temperatures sometimes can get over 100 F and since we're only 15 minutes from the ocean, the air can also get a little humid. Inside the domes, the air is much cooler due to the outstanding insulating properties of Earthbag Super Adobe construction. It can be about 75 F in the domes when the outside is 105 F. Nevertheless, we do offer space fans to keep the air flowing. It just makes the space super comfortable during these extreme high-temperature days. For winter months; December, January, and February, the temperatures, at night, can get below freezing, Inside the domes, during these times, the temperature will be about 55-60 F, so we offer space heaters for those who like to keep it more cozy.
