Fully renovated 1970s country retreat amid 20+ acres of natural wonder, only 3 miles from downtown Chapel Hill and with groceries and restaurants a mile away. Primary bedroom with king bed, full bath ensuite, shared shower. Guest room queen bed. Situated in the heart of a carefully-restored historic homestead in the 'rural buffer zone' of the town of Chapel Hill, the space includes dozens of acres and private walking trails, spring-fed swimming and fishing pond. We choose quality linens & household products, and leave abundantly stocked dry goods and common amenities as a rule--so you can focus on enjoying the important stuff. We are located in the south of Chapel Hill. You will want to plan to travel by car during your stay. The cottage is on a secluded private drive with any visible traffic or activity limited to occasional yard maintenance and delivery vehicles. Please feel free to explore, however the 3 outbuildings including historic sheds are for utility and in varying stages of restoration, not for guest entry. **E-SIGN WAIVER REQUIRED FOR POND USE, contact hosts for info** Other things to note Our kitchenette includes a compact Subzero™ refrigerator with ice maker (and VERY limited additional freezer space), which allows maximized use of countertop space for shorter stays and smaller groups. Please be advised there is no full-sized fridge available. We are happy to supply an additional insulated drink cooler if needed. 1.5 Bath: full ensuite bath with tub shower, powder room detached from bedroom wing and accessible from common areas. Updated kitchen & baths, all new appliances & fixtures including top-to-bottom HVAC replacement in 2023 (there are also additional fine particulate air purifiers in each bedroom).
