Detailed with antique mahogany trim, cherry wood flooring, hand-carved fireplace mantles and housed in a building built in 1890, this historic property has been many things over time. The Inn occupies 1,100 sf over Angelo's in the Gap, an Italian cuisine restaurant with recipes decades old. The Vault Tap House and Pub, showcasing 29 craft and domestic beers, features the original town bank vault, now a walk-in cooler. This unique accommodation is located directly above The Vault Tap House and Pub and the full-service food and beverage menu is available in-room during regular restaurant hours. Surrounded on all sides by the Cumberland Gap National Historic Park, visitors can travel on the trails of the buffalo, the Native American, the longhunter, the pioneer...all who traveled this route known as the Gateway to the West. There is something for everyone in and around Cumberland Gap with hikes ranging from quarter mile strolls to challenging adventures in the backcountry. Ranger-led hikes are also available throughout the year and provide the opportunity to explore the park with a group while learning about the historic significance of the area. Middlesboro is built entirely inside a meteorite crater, is the home of ragtime music and the oldest continuously played golf course in the United States. Pineville is one of the oldest settlements in Kentucky located at the crossing of the Cumberland River by the Wilderness Road. Pineville is home to Pine Mountain State Park, Kentucky's first state park and is home to the Bell County Historic Courthouse District.
