La Casita is a cute, free standing house consisting of just one big room, with a gorgeous walled patio for outdoor living. The main room is spacious and uncluttered. Guidebooks say it has the most comfortable bed in all of Baja! Take your meals at the kitchen counter or outdoors. It's such a cool and cozy place to chill, use as a base for daily excursions or enjoy many outdoor activities. The space Although small, La Casita does not feel crowded or cluttered. It is simply but charmingly decorated and filled with sunlight. There's room to take a nap, work at the small table, cook up a feast or lounge outdoors. Your pets can play safely in the walled-in patio, which gives you complete privacy from your neighbors. A ceiling fan and portable heating/cooling fans adjust to the temperature at different times of year. Guest access You will have the entire house and patio to yourself. There is a dedicated, off-street parking space right next to the house. You can easily walk around the entire neighborhood, which is extremely friendly and relaxed. It's just a mile to drive, bike or walk alongside the pretty river to its opening into the Sea of Cortez, where you will find a broad, pebbly beach and inviting waters. La Casita is not just a place to crash for one night when you're driving north or south through Baja California. It's just 5 miles from the adorable town of Mulege, which lies on the Rio Santa Rosalia, which opens into the Sea of Cortez just a mile from La Casita. La Casita is just one of the many pretty houses in the Oasis Rio Baja community along the river and while the community affords its own pleasures, the entire area is well worth 2 or 3 days time to explore. There are several nearby beaches, each with its own unique lifestyle, as well as historical and prehistoric areas, and plenty of snorkeling, hiking, boating, fishing, sea kayaking, whale-watching and swimming. Day trips to Santa Rosalia and Loreto offer a diverse array of activities, from the historical and archaeological to the more outdoors, water-sport and nature oriented.
