Fun & Funky Andersonville Retreat at Midwest Traveling offers a private chef experience during your stay, reach out for more info! A spacious basement unit that we (the owners) live above. We do have a mini golden doodle on site and if you’d like to meet him just reach out and we can make that happen :) he loves meeting our friendly guests! ALL GUESTS ARE REQUIRED TO SIGN OUR RENTAL AGREEMENT PRIOR TO THEIR RESERVATION. YOU WILL BE ASKED TO SIGN THIS IN ORDER TO RECEIVE CHECK IN INSTRUCTIONS. Renovated in 2018 this basement unit is very clean, has a full amenity kitchen with natural light throughout each room and a beautiful backyard (that’s hard to find anywhere in Chicago). We do also have a mini golden doodle that is very friendly and will say “hi” if he happens to see you. We ask if you are afraid of dogs to let us know so we can make sure he’s always leashed and with us so not to disrupt your stay. If you're staying for an extended time (over seven days) we do have an on-site washer and dryer available upon request. Guest access The entire apartment is all yours and the backyard is shared with us (the hosts and our mini goldedoodle). Please, make yourself at home. *The fire pit may NOT be used by guests due to safety reasons. *We can try to accommodate for luggage drop off but we do charge an early check-in (before 3pm) fee of $50 Other things to note Please remember this is our home and not a hotel. Please treat the space with respect. We can provide a Queen size blow up mattress with extra sheets and pillows if you have extra paying guests staying. *PARKING - please understand that although there is free street parking our area (just like any other area in Chicago) can become busy and parking isn’t always guaranteed on our street. You may need to park a couple streets down and cut through the alleyway during your stay with us. *OUR HOME & ENTRANCE. Please understand this is Chicago, homes are close to one another and narrow. Which means narrow sidewalks for entry and narrow staircases. OUR ENTRY STAIRCASE is narrow and a bit steep, please keep this in mind if you’re traveling with elderly or toddlers. *We can try to accommodate for luggage drop off but we do charge an early check-in (2 pm) fee of $50 We provide two rolls of paper towels for a 2-5 day stay We provide four rolls of toilet paper for a 2-5 day stay We provide two body towels per person, 4 hand towels & 4 wash cloths total We provide dishwasher pods & garbage bags for your stay **Please note for longer stays you will have to provide anything after the allotted supply given when you arrive. **For stays over 7 days we do offer the washer & dryer area but please ask so we can accommodate accordingly.
