Enjoy your break in our beautiful Salzburg mountains in a sunny and quiet location at the entrance of the Glemm Valley. Viehhofen is located exactly between the two popular holiday regions Zell am See/Kaprun and Saalbach/Hinterglemm. Hikers, bikers and skiers enjoy our TOP location - for hikers there are numerous paths that want to be explored, cyclists can start right in front of the house in the Glemmtal bike path and skiers will love our region. For your perfect vacation, this apartment offers you a well-equipped kitchen with a dining and living area, flat-screen TV and a large terrace. Two bedrooms with double beds and sofa bed, flat-screen TVs and an en-suite bath with shower, toilet and sink. One double bedroom, flat-screen TV and opposite bathroom with bathtub, sink and separate toilet and of course free Wi-Fi throughout. In winter you can start your skiing day completely relaxed. The zellamseeXpress gondola lift is only 200 m away from our holiday home or you opt for the Saalbach/Hinterglemm/Leogang/Fieberbrunn ski area. Then the free ski bus takes you to the starting point in just 5 minutes. The ski bus stop is only 30 meters from our cottage. With the Alpin Card ski you can enjoy the infinite variety of the three ski regions Saalbach/Hinterglemm/Leogang/Fieberbrunn, the Schmittenhöhe ski area in Zell am See and the Kitzsteinhorn glacier ski area in Kaprun with a total of 408 kilometers of slopes and 121 lifts. In case of good snow conditions, you can drive from Saalbach directly to our front door via exit no. 168. In summer you are in the hiking and biking paradise. Over 400 km of hiking trails want to be explored after a strengthening breakfast. Along picturesque mountain lakes, through deep green shaded forests, over gentle alpine pastures or through rocky climbs, it leads up to the unforgettable summit happiness. The reward after the ascent is a limitless view. Here you can simply enjoy the moment in silence and leave everyday life far behind. When cycling, you will have the choice: Let's go right on our doorstep. Cycle in the valley along the Glemmtal bike path towards Zell am See, where you will find countless cozy places for a little break or treat yourself to cool off in the cool, crystal clear waters of Lake Zell in between. For mountain bikers, the path also starts at your doorstep. Here it goes steeply uphill in the direction of Saalbach/Hinterglemm. An enormous network of paths awaits you of 400 km of all difficulty levels and 70 km of lines and trails. For the hungry summit strikers, there are about 40 summer huts to linger on. With the Viehhofen Sommercard, which you will receive from us during your stay, you will enjoy many advantages such as free cable car rides, free boat trips, free admission to beach resorts and much more (valid from May 15th - October 31, 2025) NEW from 01. May 2025 is the Guest Mobility Ticket, which you will also receive from us during your stay and so that all public transport in the entire state of Salzburg can be used free of charge. In the immediate vicinity you will find facilities such as a small supermarket, restaurants, bank, ski rental, ski school, tourist office and bus stops. Accessible to all guests, there is a ski room with boot dryer and a bike cellar in the house. The small children's eyes will shine when they discover the public playground behind our house.
