Our very cute and comfortable cottage is nestled on the shore of beautiful Big Hills Lake in Waushara County. The lower level opens to the lake shore and the upper level offers sweeping views. It includes an a full kitchen, amazing deck, private dock, and fire ring. We even have a canoe & kayak you can borrow. If you want to boat, fish, swim and have campfires this will be a great spot for you. It is best suited for families. The upper cottage level features a fully equipped kitchen (sorry, no dishwasher), a decent sized dining and living area, a bathroom with shower and sliding glass doors that open on to a beautiful deck. The lower level has four beds (1 queen, 1 double and 2 twins). It is separated into 2 "bedrooms" by a curtain. There is plenty of space, a large closet and multiple dressers but it is a little short on privacy. This sleeping area is ideal for families who like each other and value being together. Note that there is not a bathroom on the bedroom level. There is a door from the lower level that opens to the lake shore. Our cottage is the kind of place that people come to year after year. If you are looking to swim, fish, boat, hang out and make family memories with an amazing view and enjoy lazy joyful days on the lake, our cottage is for you. The cottage has wifi and a TV but we don't have cable or network TV. Sorry, no AC but the cool breeze from the lake and fans if you need them makes the place comfortable. You have will complete access to the cottage which is right on the shore, The cottage provides complete access to everything the lake has to offer including swimming, fishing, boating and just hanging out. The kitchen is fully equipped. We don't have a dishwasher, washer-dryer or AC. Guests have access to a private dock and may tie up a boat during their visit. There is a great fire ring for evening campfires as well as firewood for your use. You may or may not see us during your visit. We are always available by phone and we have a property manager who can take care of emergencies. The cottage is a 9 minute drive from the center of Wild Rose which has a grocery store, cafes, and shops. If a bigger "city" is needed Wautoma is about 20 minutes away. We are just under 2 hours from Madison and just over two hours from Milwaukee. To keep costs down and because the cottage does not have a washer and dryer we ask that you bring your own sheets and towels. We do have plenty of pillows and blankets and will provide dishtowels. County law requires requires us to handle the deep cleaning but we require all guests to do a basic clean-up (sweep, bag-up trash, do dishes, etc.) .
