The communal Main House is fully equipped with a gourmet kitchen and several sitting/ lounge areas. Our property is 6 miles from The Big Bend National Park and 3 miles from the center of the Terlingua Ghost Town. The area is known for incredible hiking, canoeing, biking, bird watching, stargazing, and general adventuring. It has incredible history as an old mining town turned 'ghost town'. Please reference Willowhouse.co for full guides on the towns in Far West Texas and the parks. The Big Bend & Terlingua region is very remote. Driving is the most common form of transportation. There are no rental car facilities in the area. If to plan to fly, the closest airports are Midland/ Odessa and El Paso which both have rental car options. When driving out to Terlingua or Big Bend, we recommend that drivers download directions prior to departure as service is spotty in most areas. We also suggest traveling with extra water in the car and a spare tire with the tools to change it in case of emergency. Please be aware of strong winds while driving.
