Blackwell Branch Cabin on rushing Tusquittee Creek
Creekfront! Private ponds for fishing! Mountain views & trails. Complete privacy
Tucked away in the woods and surrounded by nature, fall asleep to the sounds of the rushing creek right outside the window. Enjoy morning coffee on the deck overlooking the creek, watch deer in the meadow and geese in the pond. Close to Lake Chatuge; Ocoee & Hiawassee rivers; John C. Campbell Folk School; hiking & mountain biking trails; waterfalls. Kids will love the playhouse. Couples, adventurers, families and furry friends (pets). It's OK, you're in the mountains now... breathe. The cabin is tucked back in the trees, very private and secluded. Living room has lots of room to spread out while enjoying the wood-burning stove. Large dining table with second smaller table for games and puzzles or your laptop. Firewood provided. Please note that the downstairs bathroom has tub only; upstairs bathroom has shower/tub combo. When you stay with us, you'll have use of the whole cabin (of course!)...and the wrap-around decks and the gas BBQ grill...and the creekside firepit (smores anyone?!)...and the yard swing...and the playhouse...enjoy it all here in our little corner of the mountains! We live a bit further down the lane, so we're available to help answer any questions, or if needed in some other way. Located on a private dead-end lane, off the beaten path. Private and peaceful. Road is level, paved with easy access and pull-through driveway. You'll receive a "Welcome" folder with all sorts of great info, including directions to the grocery store, restaurants and dining out, shopping/antique stores, good places for walks and hikes, playground and swim beach and much more. And of course we're always nearby to help guide you to local waterfalls, day hikes on the AT, horseback riding, dirt-track racing, farmers markets, golf courses, great spots for local day trips. BBQ grill is gas - no charcoal needed. Firewood for wood-burning stove is provided. Fish right outside your back door in the creek, but bring your own rod and tackle (none provided). The kids will love playing in the creek, so bring some water shoes or old sneakers for them to get wet.
