Nestled in the picturesque mountain town of Ohakune, at the foot of Mt Ruapehu, Ruapehu Mountain Motel and Lodge offers travelers accommodations in a variety of room types. Ranging from a home sized Chalet (great for making special memories with family or a group of friends), 12 comfy self-contained Motel units, En-suited traditional lodge rooms, and a spacious 2-bedroom Apartment, we have options to suit all budgets. We have a good portfolio of facilities including spa pool (winter season), guest lounge with wood burner and pool table, laundry facilities, WiFi, breakfast options, bicycle washdown and ski gear drying room. Whether you are visiting for business, work or play, winter snow activities or a summer adventure in the world heritage Tongariro National Park we are centrally located. Turoa ski field is at our doorstep, it is only a 30 to 40-minute drive to the famous Tongariro Alpine Crossing and Whakapapa ski field (hosting the fabulous Skywaka Gondola), a 5-minute walk from the Train Station and at the exact start, (or end) of the Old Coach Road biking trail. Ohakune village is well serviced with world class food outlets, restaurants and bars, grocery store, petrol outlet & E/V charging stations, pharmacy, gifts, and other retail opportunities. We look forward to extending to you a warm country welcome to our family-run accommodations. This spacious, private apartment is located upstairs in the main lodge, providing a sunny scenic outlook. It offers full kitchen facilities with a stovetop, microwave, fridge and kitchenware. It features a generous open plan living area with a 50-inch TV and lounge chair. The 2 bedrooms hold a queen bed and a queen and single bed respectively, with 1 single bed in the living area. Heated with Eco panel and electric heaters, it includes a separate shower, vanity and toilet. Please note that the rate is based on 2 guests. Maximum occupancy is 6 guests (see Hotel Policies).
