Beautiful Villa with swimming pool in Sicily immersed in the Val di Noto, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, in the countryside between Ragusa, Chiaramonte Gulfi and Comiso. Built at the end of the 18th century by the Cosenza-Rosso family, the Villa tells the story of an ancient Sicily, of baroque and stone style, of gardens and centuries-old olive trees, of the slow passage of time. It accommodates 25 people, plus a few places on a sofa bed, providing 9 bathrooms with showers, plus a swimming pool and a tennis-calcetto court. The space Walks in the countryside surrounding the villa alternate with moments of relaxation in the pool, nestled between the dry stone walls of the Ragusa countryside. The garden, the fruit trees, the aromatic plants of the garden, the olive trees, the oranges, the lemons and the vines, offer the ideal ideas for summer dinners under the stars and breakfasts in the shade of the garden, next to the pool. An ideal holiday home in Sicily, Villa Zottopera is built in living stone and follows the typical structure of Sicilian farms. The inner courtyard, an extraordinary example of a Sicilian "baglio", is surrounded by the low stone buildings, the ancient peasant houses, where through careful restoration, characteristic accommodations have been obtained, and, on the first floor, in the master apartment, three elegant suites have been obtained. You can relive the atmosphere of a large Sicilian farm with all the comforts of today: air conditioning, swimming pool, dining room, the possibility of using the services of our cook, cooking classes, tasting, olive harvesting, and a visit to the ancient oil mill. The subject of a recent and careful restoration, the rooms and common areas of the villa are witnesses of an authentic Sicilian spirit. The ground floor of the villa bears witness to the imposing and sober architecture of the Sicilian countryside. The apartment on the second floor with large terraces, on the other hand, combines the elegance of the manor house with the essential style of the country house. On the ground floor, in addition to the accommodation of the Farmers, you can enjoy the ancient "Trappeto" (Oil Mill and the cellar with the ancient living stone containers), the accommodation of the crews of the "cutulaturi" and the olive pickers, transformed into a dining room and kitchen. The 3 areas of the Manor House are respectively the Scirocco, with a large double bedroom set in a high vault of cane and plaster, a corridor with two other bedrooms with three single beds, two bathrooms with a shower, a dining area and a kitchen furnished with everything but which preserves the ancient copper pots, the ancient kitchen has respectively a double bed plus an adjoining room with, the second area called the Libeccio with an elegant double bedroom, bathroom with shower, and living room with a double sofa bed. The third area called the Zefiro consists of a delightful double bedroom with an attached bathroom with shower. All three rooms can be connected to share the common areas, living room, kitchen and the large terrace on the first floor, with a view of the fields and the Ragusa plateau and the view of Etna in the distance. A living-dining room, a large kitchen equipped with a stove, microwave, fridge, and a large terrace with a view of the entire Ibleo area. The rooms are equipped with free Wi-Fi, satellite TV, two large terraces, independent heating, and air conditioning. The manor house gives you the opportunity to alternate between reading and conversation in the fireplace room and dining in the elegant dining room. In total, there are 10-12 beds on the first floor. On the ground floor, we have the 5 farmers' houses transformed into comfortable homes, one of which is for the disabled, with 2 to 5 beds for a total of 15 beds. The swimming pool and some common areas of the villa are available to guests of the villa. Guest access Guests will be able to use the outdoor areas for common use: garden, olive grove and the pool area and the various equipment: tennis court, basketball, bicycles, Ping Pong. Guests will be able to use the kitchens in all the accommodations, but not the professional kitchen on the ground floor veranda area for the exclusive use of authorized personnel. The building contains the home of our caretaker. The pool and common areas of the villa are exclusively for guests of the villa. The use of the other rooms, the cellar, the storerooms, etc., will be agreed upon with the owners, who will be available to organize any company tours of the various historical rooms, or oil tastings, or Sicilian cooking classes, or lunches or dinners during the stay.
