Supermarkets are at Durango and Warm Springs, Starbucks inside Vons, lots of small restaurants around supermarkets (including Buffalo Wild Wings), and a TJ Maxx/Home Goods etc. IKEA is only 5 min away. If you just want to experience the Strip, here are the ones we like – Bellagio for fountains, Venetian for canals, Cosmopolitan for bars and pool scene, Paris pour l ’ambiance, Fremont Street Experience for the music/sky show. Take the kids to Wet-n-Wild, the M&M and Hershey store. For shows: Cirque du Soleil: ‘O’ and Michael Jackson One. To get to the strip: (1) Uber is $15-20; (2) If you drive your own car, parking is still free at some hotela, but many other casinos now charge. We love Las Vegas for the desert scenery. We make day trips to these places: hiking the Red Rock Canyon (25min away), hiking the narrows in Zion National Park (2hrs away), walking around Valley of Fire (40 min away), visiting the Hoover Dam (30min away). If you want to rent an RV to travel to the Grand Canyon, Zion and other national parks in Southern Utah, you can find boxes in the apartment with supplies you need for the RV (towels, bedding, blankets, dishes, cutlery)
