Enjoy Mystic in historic John Denison house. We are close to all Mystic has to offer. Great views, location, and impeccable cleanliness. Perfect for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families. Guests required age 25 or older verified by Gov ID to book. Declared pet fee $150. Undeclared pets incur an automatic $500 charge. Please note: narrow stairs to the 2nd floor. The space Whether traveling solo or in a group as large as eight, John Denison house is sure to be your fit. Arriving by train (Mystic depot is a 5 minute walk to the house) or by car (parking for 3 cars) you will find us 2 blocks from the popular restaurant the Engine Room and 2 blocks from the Mystic Seaport. We are a 5 minute drive to the eatery, café and market Mystic Market East. Supplies from the nearest supermarket (Big Y) are less than 1/2 mile away. Walk into downtown Mystic to be transported back in time to a classic New England main street where two Mystics are joined by the famous bascule bridge (5 minute walk). Enjoy the numerous shops and restaurants (Shipwright's Daughter, M bar, Red 36, Engine Room, Oyster Club, Bravo Bravo to name a few) in downtown, or head up route 27 to visit the Mystic Seaport and the Mystic Aquarium. Beside the Aquarium is the Olde Mystick Village which houses over 30 unique shops, restaurants, and bars. The Cinema there has been outfitted with super comfy lounge seats and offers real (seriously good) homemade popcorn, beer and wine to accompany your film. A trip to Mystic isn't complete without visiting our many vineyards and wineries (Jonathan Edward's, Stonington Vineyards, and Saltwater Farm Vineyard). Be sure to get out on the water, either by taking a river tour (the Seaport's Sabino), a motorized sunset tour (Mystic River Cruises), renting a Kayak or paddle board (Paddle Mystic), or taking a sail on Fishers Island Sound aboard the Argia (theArgiaMystic), Mystic has so much more to see by water. Since you're being active, explore the beauty of Mystic's River Road or get physical at Mystic's own tree climb adventure & paintball park (Treetrails Adventures). Have more than a few days? Stay around to check out other area attractions such as Westerly's famous beaches (15 min drive), the nightlife, concerts and restaurants of the Casinos (Foxwoods & Mohegan Sun approx 15 min drive), one of National Geographic's top-rated beaches (Ocean Beach Park), the stately mansion and grounds of Harkness Park, Waterford, and of course the area's own Jurassic Park, the Dinosaur Place at Nature's Art. And if less than usual adventures are more up your alley, Mystic now boasts ghost tours (seaside shadows) and an escape room (Mystified escape room). We like to think we are a bit spoiled for choice in Mystic and if the weather doesn't quite cooperate don't let that slow you down! One of our favorite spots is the Mashantucket Pequot Museum where you can spend the day learning about our area before it was "Mystic Coast and Country."
