Home is located just across the street from Little River. Water events and waterside access awaits - Wanting to experience some time sitting at the water's edge, enjoying one of Lookout Mountains natural wonders? Looking to kayak or canoe or even to take a swim in the river, simply inquire when submitting your booking request. Kayak and canoe rentals can be obtained through local outfitters – Please inquire prior to or after booking. The home offers a 2 1/2 story vaulted ceiling Great Room, full kitchen, with a kitchen island bar top and bar stools, open living floor plan and French pine walls and hardwood floors. Contemporary colored walls have been integrated in the bathrooms and kitchen area, and tile flooring has been laid in the downstairs bathroom floors. The Great Room also features a stacked-stone fireplace! Huge 350 sq. ft. fully screened in porch on back of home features a stacked stone fireplace, ceiling fans and a firebox blower fan unit to push the heat of the fire onto the porch during those cold Spring, Fall and Winter nights. Tree filled lot adds for an additional sense of privacy. Exceptionally comfortable and cozy place to rent and getaway for the weekend for couples, retreats, families, get togethers or just a chance to get some R&R away from the everyday stresses of life. Home sits on a private, fully wooded 3/4 acre lot which allows for serenity, privacy and a very peaceful, relaxing stay. Access to the home is via a keyless combination door lock on the front door. My property manager will provide you with the combination door lock code to obtain access to the home 5-7 days prior to your check-in to the home. The entire home is available for your use. The only areas of the home off-limits are two storage areas in the upper part of the home which have padlocks on them. If you need to reach our property manager concerning access issues to the home, contact information for them will be provided to you at the time you book the home - this ensures you experience no issues upon your arrival to the home. Guests are free to enjoy the peace and comfort of the home all to themselves. All interactions prior to check in and during your stay will be with my Property Manager - Susan Collins. Once a guest checks in, they have the home and property completely to themselves until they check out. The goal is to allow you a maximum sense of privacy and relaxation during your stay. The home is located on the far end of a dead end street, surrounded by a handful of other vacation homes which are utilized by other "part time" residents who utilize the homes for their own vacation purposes. Most of these "part time" residents visit their homes once a month or less. This provides visitors to the home with a very serene and quiet stay experience as for the most part, owners of the other homes are very infrequently at their homes. Additionally, the lot the home is on is fully wooded which provides for a high degree of privacy for our guests. A car is a necessity in this area of Alabama as Mentone sits on top of Lookout mountain, unless you are a cyclist and into cycling on some of the local roads or trails. If you are looking to visit some of the picturesque areas in and around Mentone, the parks, natural exhibits (Ruby Falls, Rock City, etc.), Little River Gorge National Reserve, etc., you will need a car to travel to and from these sites. The home does have long gravel driveway which allows parking for up to 7 cars. The closet major airport to the home is in Chattanooga, TN which is approximately 44 miles away from the home. Additional amenities include WiFi and River access to Little River across the street from the home upon request and approval with the property manager and Owner of the home.
