Our cozy little 2 bedroom, one bath, small dog friendly home is on a corner lot in a family friendly neighborhood just minutes from major attractions like Busch Gardens/Water Country. This area is rich with historical sites. Be sure to visit Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown. Take a tour on The Colonial Parkway or If you are a cyclist bring your bike and ride the Capitol trail or hit the trails at Freedom Park or New Quarter Park. The Casita is fully stocked with everything you would need for your vacation. Condiments, paper towels, toilet paper, linens, towels and wash cloths. There is a variety of paintings, travel decor and metal sculptures outdoors. *NOTE* Well behaved small dogs are welcome at the Casita. I do not allow them on the couches or beds. If this is ok at home please bring covers for the couches and your own linens. Also I ask for them to be kenneled if left at home alone. This ensures there will be no damage caused by separation anxiety. Guests will have access to the entire home except the garage and lawn sheds. Please use the home as if it is your own and help us keep it ready for the next guests. I like to meet all of my guests. I will greet you upon arriving and will be happy to show you the place. We love our family friendly neighborhood. It is quiet most of the time. You are welcome waive to the neighbors as you come and go. The city of Williamsburg is very diverse and is home to many Europeans and Latin Americans. We have neighbors from Africa, Guatemala, Belize and Mexico. The home location gives you great access to many parks and recreational areas. New Quarter Park and The Colonial parkway is just down the street. Redoubt park is 10mins away. Freedom Park is about 15mins away. York River State Park is approximately 20 mins away. There is 6 breweries in the area. The Virginia Beer Company, The Precarious Beer Project, Bilsburg, Amber Ox, Brass Cannon and Aleworks. We also have 2 distilleries. Eight Shires and The CopperFox Distillery. If you like mead well we have a meadery too, SilverHand. Williamsburg also has a winery. The Williamsburg winery. We have a Farmers Market on Saturday mornings at Merchants square and there's a art festival on every 2nd Sunday of the month at Prince George Street. Everything is literally minutes away while staying at the Casita. Uber, Lyft and taxis are also available and recommended if you plan on visiting the winery or breweries nearby. If you prefer to bring a bicycle, There is plenty of bike lanes to get you to and from Colonial Williamsburg and the surrounding area. The home is centrally located to the major attractions like Busch gardens, Water Country, Jamestown, Yorktown, Colonial Williamsburg. If you're interested in outdoor activities such as running, hiking, bicycling canoeing, kayaking etc. There is a few parks in the area that cater to the outdoorsy type. New Quarter Park is just down the street. Free parking and activities include a 7 mile mountain bike trail, 2 mile hiking trail, a canoe or kayak launch(bring your own) and a full disc golf course. Freedom Park is about 20 mins from the house and the park has about 5 miles of hiking trails and 25 miles of mountain bike trails. Go Ape is also at freedom park which hosts a zipline tour through the woods. York River State Park is 20min away. Parking is $4 and offers canoe and kayak hourly rentals, horse trails for the equine lovers, 20 miles of mountain bike trails and 5 miles of hiking trails. If you would like to visit the Capital of Virginia, Richmond is about 45min-1hr away. Take the beautiful scenic route 5 and be sure to visit the plantations along the way. There's always something going on in the city of Richmond. If you want to see the Atlantic Ocean, The Virginia Beach oceanfront is 1:30 hrs away.
