Car parking available on request for a small fee. Walking distance to Salamanca. The space Monty's Hideaway is a luxurious 20ft shipping container - studio with a retractable roof over your bed. NO fly screen. NO glass. Just pure fresh Tasmanian AIR above your bed when the roof is OPEN. When the roof is CLOSED enjoy the underfloor heating and private space. The main room is cosy (as photographed). There is a spacious shower room with a lifting roof (open to the fresh air) so you can shower in the morning sun. And there is a wonderfully secluded deck with wood burner/chiminea. 6 star energy rating, underfloor heating, heated towel rail, Wifi, Smart TV, Bluetooth speaker. Streaming facilities. Glamping at it's best, outdoor kitchenette includes; bar fridge, kettle and toaster. Please note that there are NO formal cooking facilities. Monty's Hideaway is named after Field Marshall Montgomery, arguably Tasmania's most famous resident. He grew up at this property and was always in trouble, running away into the gardens for long periods. Guest access Access to Monty's Hideaway is via gated laneway to your courtyard door. Here, you'll need your access code (sent to you via text message 24-48hrs prior to check-in) to open the courtyard gate. Take 2-3 stone steps to the deck and again use your access code to enter the main Hideaway door. Other things to note This is NOT wheelchair accessible. There are 3 stone STEPS to the outside deck. Early check-in & late check-out can sometimes be possible but not always guaranteed.
